"If you could only have one restaurant by which to remember a visit to Vienna, The White Chimneysweep is the perfect choice. The restaurant's name in German is Zum weißen Rauchfangkehrer, and even though its storybook decor may seem a bit touristy at first, this is a truly Austrian restaurant, with a loyal local clientele, and an energetic staff that provide extremely attentive service. It was white asparagus season when we went in April, and items from the special asparagus menu were delicious. When making a reservation (essential) you can specify which of the various seating areas you'd prefer. We chose the piano room, with live music. The room was fantastic, however the music played was a standard list of overplayed songs that we've all heard a million times. A more Mozartian or Austrian approach to the music selections might have been better. Regardless, we left with huge smiles, and agreed that the total experience was top notch."
