"My husband, two sons, age 13 and 10, and I arrived at 7:30 pm and walked to the host desk where there were no other customers waiting. I waited for three of the employees to stop their conversation long enough to look up and acknowledge us. There were two female and one male employees. One female host told us that there would be a 45 minute wait for our party even though at first glance, the restaurant appeared half empty. It seems that she thought that would deter us, but we had been driving from Chicago for the last two hours and had had a good experience at the restaurant once before, so we put in our name. We also assumed that the 45 minute time was an exaggeration as there were so many empty tables. We proceeded to wait 40 minutes while during this time, 1. I was able to count over 60 available seats, 2. five parties left, 3. ONLY one other table of four was seated, 4. one of the three original employees who were chatting stood behind the counter repeatedly wiping invisible spots from menus. I also noticed several servers walking around and chatting with little concern. Others diners were also very obviously looking at us as we were the only customers during the 40 minutes who were waiting or who had even arrived. It was at this time that I walked over to the menu-wiping employee and asked her if we had any hope of getting seated or if we should leave. She rolled her eyes at me and went to answer the phone that was promptly answered by the other host at the main desk. The menu employee then walked away from me and brought over a male employee, again one of the original three chatters. He walked me to the tablet and started scrolling through as he explained the intricacies of seating people. He pointed out that there were four tables reserved for a 20 person party. I asked about the other 40 open seats and he again began to explain some nonsense about assigning staff to tables. By the way, even if it was true that your staff was gearing up for a 20 person party, and let 's say those were the only four tables available in the entire restaurant, my family still could have eaten and left before that party arrived. I asked if we should just leave at which point he told me, based on no obvious evidence, that it would be a longer wait and so we should make a decision. Basically telling us to go ahead and leave."

"Stopped by the Staymaker for lunch before a fun day of wine tasting. We started out with a mixture of cocktails: Blueberry Thyme Buck, The Anniversary, Married Down, Cherry Old Fashioned. All cocktails offered are made from their housemade distilled spirits that are also sold on site. Their whiskeys are the highest rated and most cocktail offerings revolve around that spirit type, but there truly is something for everyone on menu. Our group got a mixture of detroit style pizza and sandwiches. Portions were big and every one of us had leftovers to take home. I was most excited to get a pizza with diya vegan cheese as this is not offered many places! After ordering, our server let us know they were actually out of dairy free cheese. I instead got the burger which they kindly made me a vegan comeback sauce to make up for the pizza. It was so nice for them to go the extra mile and make accommodations for me. The restaurant itself is only one part of what Journeyman offers. One can do a distillery tour, utilize the event spaces upstairs, or there is a mini golf course in the back. We love making an annual stop here and it never disappoints!"

"Very nice lunch with my grand daughter. She had breakfast, eggs, hash browns and sausage. she is 14 and very happy with her meal. I had a BLT on rye, with Broccoli salad on the side. Sandwich was very good, crispy bacon! Broccoli salad was awesome. It was busy and everyone was working hard. Please try to smile through it"

"Where do 2 local, hungry, and worn out chefs go to feed themselves? Oaks Eatery. What a delightful find along the Main Street of quaint and cozy Three Oaks. Food was beautiful, delicious, and healthy. Choices abound. The tofu was fantastic. The service was impeccable. Alex took our orders, brought our meals, and made our lattes. He made us feel warm and welcome, very cared for. Thank you Oaks Eatery for creating a much needed personal dining experience in a world where most things feel sterile and cold right now. "Had lunch a little after noon. Service was good. Wine was excellent , Pinot Grigio, and Roma Rosa Red Blend, good poors for the , and really good wine. We also would highly recommend the Gumbo and jalapeno poppers. We ordered the Irish Egg rolls with high hopes, they were very crispy but very bland however and not at all like the Reuben the menu description touted. Both the poppers and the egg rolls were small portions for the . We were seated next to a table of extremely active and loud young children even though it wasn't busy and there were many other open tables. Were also disappointed in the fact that they charged extra for paying with a credit card. They have no issue with charging 12.00 for 2 egg rolls but want you to pay another 2.5% on top of the bill total for using a credit card?!!!
