"Found a treasure! Dropped into Cafe Alona for a late lunch and discovered a true gem. Fresh food, made from scratch. We ordered the Pasta Primavera and it was amazing! Brittany provided us with perfect service. The desserts!!! We ordered one to go... while waiting Alona came out and delivered a sample of the Tres (Milk) Leche cake, we were stuffed but after the first taste we both devoured it, absolutely the best. I just returned from France and I have to say the Tres Leche was as good, maybe better than the Tiramisu we had there. The best thing about travel is discovering fabulous places to eat and Cafe Alona's food can compete with many of the fine dining establishments we have visited on...

We stop here if possible for international cuisine if you travel from Richmond, VA to Huntsville, AL to visit family. Every time we are treated with gourmet food and a creative menu. Alona has finished last night with her Transylvania cuisine – the best meal still!!!

We tried Filipino cuisine and it was delicious!!! They had completely taken up my food allergies that were nice. The pig soup was very tasty and the spring rolls were the best of all time. The Adobo chicken with rice and ginger sauerkraut was a taste explosion!!! I usually don't care about fresh coconut, but I really enjoyed the young soft coconut that crowned the cake. We cannot wait to try more international nights!

"Thai Avenue is by far the freshest and most creative Thai restaurant around. They have a phenomenal menu. I recommend the Fresh Summer Roll crunchy, clean flavor, the Tom Yum Soup with just enough heat the Duck Ta Lay an intriguing mix of crispy duck, scallops, shrimp, mussels mushrooms. The Pad Thai is also very flavorful the soft shell crab salad is most delectable! The seating is cozy trendy, a great date night spot. The owner is very personable and accommodating. Wish I lived closer, cannot wait to come back soon!!!"

"So impressed. $1 donuts. Freshly made, perfectly fried exterior, soft fully cooked interior. Tried the PB&J and the blueberry lemon donut. Jelly fillings were the perfect sweetness not overly sweet. Lemon topping was tart and full of lemon flavor. PB frosting was perfectly smooth, not grainy and had a delicious peanut buttery flavor. All of the other baked goods looked fantastic as well. Also really reasonably priced. There were pastries, cake slices, whole crumb cakes, cupcakes etc. Also my coworkers are there daily for coffee and muffins. Will definitely be back!"
