Anita's Sjømat - Speisekarte

Came here because it was recommended by our Air BnB host it was among the few concrete suggestions I found when researching Lofoton Islands. FOOD: Husband and I enjoyed our cod fish burger, but it came with way too much sauce. Food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Burger did not include a side nor any tomato slice. Fish cakes from the grocery stores were actually better! Overall 8/10 They also have a cafe bar (coffee, tea) and boast several dessert options. AMBIANCE: Seating is plentiful indoors and out. There's also a gift shop with some local items to check out. Views are beautiful, of course. OTHER/BONUS: play structures for kids and lots of high chairs available.

Absolutely love this fish market/restaurant. They sell a wide variety of fresh fish, including salmon sashimi and smoked steak. We came here to sit down for a quick bite and ordered the shrimp, fish soup, and classic fish burger. The shrimp was delicious and I'm not normally a fan of cold shrimp. The fish soup was super flavorful and had huge chunks of fish in it, I just wish it was a little creamier like the ones I had in Bergen. The classic fish burger was great, but one thing to note is that it's not fried fish but more of a fishcake patty. On a cold rainy day in February, we found ourselves taking a leisurely lunch here at Anita's Sjømat on Lofoten. I am traveling through Norway this week, and stopping every day at different places. We lined up on a busy afternoon and watched as the lovely ladies behind the counter handled everyone with aplomb, and with a smile.
