"My husband and I love this restaurant. Service is great, food is great, and the atmosphere is perfect. I moved from Ohio, where Italian food was everywhere and was desperate to find a place with good authentic Italian dishes. Bertolone's is absolutely the best Italian food I found in Alabama and it makes me happy to have found such a whole restaurant. The staff is lovely and funny, they take the time to tell you dishes that you have questions and the staff interacts with each other like family that makes the experience of all the more comfortable and welcoming. Friendly staff and good food! We had spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmesan. Fatastic! The desserts are so wonderful. We share slices of strawberry, salted caramel and wedding cakes for dessert and they for dying. Absolutely wonderful!

Randomly stumbled over this jewel when I drove I-65 and my kid wanted a pizza. I was looking for a couple of chains and Bertolones. I thought an Italian joint in the small town of Alabama would be worth checking. I wasn't disappointed. The Canelloni was great and the pizza my child had was much better than any chain pizza. If I ever happened to Clanton, AL ever again and was hungry, I would turn on again!

Bertolone's in Clanton was after the church dinner today. It was our first time and Kathleen took care of us. Great food at reasonable prices. Michael loved his dad's special calzone, 12 inch sausage, salami, ham, pepperoni, onions, olives and mushrooms for $12.95... simply enough to serve 2-3 people. He said it reminded him of our delicious Chicago pizzas at home. I opted for the midday Mushroom Ravioli for 10.95. The 30-minute drive worth. Can't wait until the Calera location later this summer to open!
