"Our family is celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary all summer long concluding on the actual date in August. This was our first occasion and I had to choose a restaurant on the Outer Cape. After two days of searching and reading reviews, Mac’s Shack was the choice and I scored big time at Wellfleet. All 10 of us loved our apps and dinners. The portions were big and oh so tasty. Five different main courses were chosen and they scored 5/5. It was a rainy evening but the inside areas were cosy and charming. The servers were wonderful and willingly took lots of photos for us to remember this day."

Unique and delicious restaurant recommended to us by a local. We split the fish and chips and high roller! It made for a wonderful afternoon!

Delicious! My friends and I really liked the place. I found good veg options (took a pic of the poke), too! I def keep the place on my list if i came back to Cape Cod!

We asked around for dinner recommendations around Wellfleet and were unanimously pointed to Mac 's for good reason! The dishes were well balanced and sparked a bit of imaginative joy (e.g. I tried a mysterious pink cube in a swordfish dish and discovered it was watermelon! . The waitstaff were kind and helpful. Only note is that the price points are in nice vacation dinner territory. Once you 've set that expectation for yourself, you 're free to enjoy a lovely coastal meal!

"what is not to love this place? there are many parking spaces. easy. they have doggy drop stations on the parking lot, which makes this place a beautiful place to stop with their pooch. they even have water dishes outside for the dogs. the exterior decoration is so well made. they feel like in France. chef phillipe is so inviting. he never forgets a face and he needs the time to get out and say hello. you brot is phenomenal. the croissants are the best! the baked are scattered earthly. they even have a money supply as in Europe. the lights outside they let you know when they enter is the best!"

"We had the worst steak possible at this restaurant, cooked without any seasoning it looked like it had been boiled. Pretty poor treatment for any type of meat never mind the special NY strip and it was inedible. Also the truffle fries lacked any type of truffle flavor. The mixed grill plate was pretty good fish wise but oddly covered in a sweet chili sauce that tasted very sugary. We sent back the whole steak and ended up paying for it anyways which I guess is better than what would have happened to us if we had tried to eat it. Overall I would say expect entrees to cost about $40 each, the fish is decent but nothing special, and I would avoid any of the turf non-seafood options. Service also appeared pretty hit or miss, our service started out pretty strong but slowed down considerably after initial drinks. On the positive our kids loved the bland food options."

"We love PJs!My family has been coming here for generations! It absolutely would not be a visit to The Cape without stopping here for our favorites!The stuffed clam, onion rings, fried clams (some of the best on the Cape! , burgers! (I can't say enough about this, try their burgers! , corn on the cob! For the love of everything this was the best corn on the cob I've had on the Cape and in a long time period! Soft and sweet! And you have to try their fried scallops! Finish it off with some delicious ice cream and I promise you'll be totally satisfied.Thank's to the family who run this place consistently for generations. My grandma loved your guys food. See you all next season!"

"We had a fantastic lunch with our family at this restaurant while on vacation in the area. The owner was a very friendly person who made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for lunch or dinner and I highly recommend it."

"Dinner is not worth the money. FOH was not easy to book with.Everyone was seated at 6:30 but it was another hour before the first plate arrived. We were served 2.5 glasses of wine, 3 oysters, mixed green salad with vinaigrette, crudités, fried green tomatoes, 3 small beef raviolis, braised chicken, chocolate mousse. The chief's introduction covered the local ingredients he was using but none were featured with the exception of the salad and oysters. I expect a tasting to be more original."
