"My hubby and I stopped here for breakfast while we were staying with my brother in law in Palmer. He was at work this morning so we were on our own. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the staff and immediately asked if we wanted coffee. (Um, yes. I ordered the 6 2 eggs, hash browns, toast and reindeer sausage. Hubby ordered the 13 biscuits and gravy. We mentioned to the super friendly waitress we planned to split each plate and she offered to have the kitchen split it up for us. This is just good, tasty, no frills food. The eggs and biscuit were nothing to write home about, but OH, the gravy!! Deeeeelicious!! Always a great place to eat. The jalapeño burger is great and the club sandwich is awesome. Also the breakfast is always good. And the staff is nice. Good place to stop on your way thru.

If you 're looking for local , this is it. You can 't even tell this is a cafe from the outside. Half is a store, and the other half is the restaurant. Ten bucks gets you eggs your way, perfectly cooked hash browns, toast, and the meat of your choice. In my case, chicken fried steak. Even thought it 's not breaded on site, it tasted that way. Nice and crunchy with delicious gravy on top. My friend had the reindeer sausage, and that had just the right amount of kick to it. Decor is as expected for a locals diner, with ads for farm implements, autos, and services tacked to the bulletin board. If I 'm in the area again, this will be a must do .

"We wanted to try a new breakfast place... we could sit down and order right away. Although we waited for our meals for a while, the owner came by and apologized for waiting. The food was nicely portioned and the prices were reasonable. The food was delicious. The Veggie Skillet meal was amazing! The vegetables were perfectly cooked, they also tasted fresh. All the great experiences for a newly opened restaurant! We're coming back!"

"Charming and fun location with great food and service. Portions are fairly large. My niece and I visited this place last night. I had the halibut baked in limoncello sauce with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes. It was different and very good. My niece ordered the mac cheese with barbecued pulled pork on top and said hers was very good too. I tasted the mac cheese it was very rich. In fact all the food we ordered was rather decadent. For an appetizer we got the cranberry cheese chutney which was excellent, and for dessert their specialty warm whiskey butter bread pudding, which is to die for. We both brought most of our entrees home to have room for dessert. Our waiter Chido was entertaining and very helpful. While we were there, a train raced by the big windows, which only added to the ambience."

"I always like the food when I finally get it. The service is slow as molasses. They seem overwhelmed and parking is a nuisance. It's fine if you have all day to wait and aren't in a rush. There may be lulls when service is better. I get concerned when I see really sweaty staff around my food, though. Are they sweating in the food?"

"shoutout to the child (male not female) working on Thursday at 11 o'clock, the hot coffee was spilled in my friend, then laughed with his coworker before us. that is not an inexperienced worker question. it's a failure problem."

"I do door Dash and had a delivery to the Friendly’s in Palmer When I arrived the doors were locked because they closed at 10. It was about 10:05 when I arrived and knocked on the door this girl answered the door and told me the door dash had been picked up hours ago. The restaurant had been cleaned and everyone was ready to go home. The girls name was Destinee she was amazing, Helpful, kind and understanding. She remade the order for me even though she didn’t have to. She did it with no complaints. If you were lucky enough to have Destinee as your server or help you out at Friendly’s you’ll be in good hands. Destinee is one of the best employees I have ever dealt with at any Friendly’s."
