"My hubby and I stopped here for breakfast while we were staying with my brother in law in Palmer. He was at work this morning so we were on our own. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the staff and immediately asked if we wanted coffee. (Um, yes. I ordered the 6 2 eggs, hash browns, toast and reindeer sausage. Hubby ordered the 13 biscuits and gravy. We mentioned to the super friendly waitress we planned to split each plate and she offered to have the kitchen split it up for us. Always a great place to eat. The jalapeño burger is great and the club sandwich is awesome. Also the breakfast is always good. And the staff is nice. Good place to stop on your way thru.

If you 're looking for local , this is it. You can 't even tell this is a cafe from the outside. Half is a store, and the other half is the restaurant. Ten bucks gets you eggs your way, perfectly cooked hash browns, toast, and the meat of your choice. In my case, chicken fried steak. Even thought it 's not breaded on site, it tasted that way. Nice and crunchy with delicious gravy on top. My friend had the reindeer sausage, and that had just the right amount of kick to it. Decor is as expected for a locals diner, with ads for farm implements, autos, and services tacked to the bulletin board. If I 'm in the area again, this will be a must do .
