"We were looking for seafood..Oyster Rock was an 1 1/2 hour wait. We walked to Captain John's and we were very pleased.I had sauted scallops and usually you get 4-5..I had 21, and they were excellent. My wife had the chicken. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer..very helfull and accommodating.My wife loves Hush puppies and said they were excellent..and said the Cosmo was almost as good as the ones at Tropics in Honolulu.We will be back"

We loved the atmosphere and most of all the food. Delicious flounder and shrimp. The breading is light and delicious. Baked potato perfect! Really enjoyed our meal!

"I ordered the linguini alfredo with grilled salmon and vegetables. the linguini was very tasty, but unfortunately the salmon was very dry, and the sweet was overcooked. another gassed at my table ordered the chicken finger meal, and the hen was dry and salty, not to mention that it served at least 10 pieces, much too much and a waste of food."

"Had to ask the server to give us drinks as he brought our food and said enjoy your meal but never gave any drinks. The food was very bland and over cooked. The only thing that was pleasant was the young lady at the front counter. Truly a great customer service representative. Very kind and sweet and pleasant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"Was riding through calabash and came across this gem. Was with 4 friends and we stopped in Wednesday evening, we all had the large seafood platter and it was the best I have ever had and the service by Misty was outstanding. I also noticed the servers were helping each out and that was great to see. We were going out again Saturday night and everyone wanted to go back again so we did. We were delighted to get Misty as our server again and We all had to have the seafood platter again, and it was great as the time before. We will become weekly customers,hard to find the food and service. That IS THIS OUTSTANDING."

"First, we love eating outside when there 's a beautiful view. Second, the food 's fantastic! We tried the Captain and regretted it. Higher prices and less food doesn 't press me!! The food is priced right here. The atmosphere is relaxing, the guys and gals here are always so friendly and the service is fast. I asked for this and that probably three times and was served with genuine kindness and smiles. Such a nice young man. He even took a moment to chat with hubby. Btw, I had the fried flounder and shrimp combo with fries (hubby ate Cole slaw and hush puppies. For a dollar more I ordered the fried corn. Let 's just say you 've GOT TO GET THE FRIED CORN! I got it for hubby but I did manage to get a few bites The flounder was perfect. Nice sized filet, thick and perfectly cooked still juicy inside. (Our guy said it 's the entire side of the fish and it is. Mmmm! The shrimp was great, too. Lightly battered. Hubby for the Mahi sandwich which came with nothing unless.you added that 's why he got my fries.amd corn. My food was MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME "
