"I went to this restaurant with a large group on a Friday evening and was surprised to find that we were the only guests there. It may have been the off-season in Westhampton, but I was impressed by the excellent food and service. The restaurant has a classic and traditional look with professional staff and Frank Sinatra playing in the background. Arvada Basso serves excellent food with great sauces that are fresh and tasty. The portion sizes are generous and we always have enough for a second meal. The chef is clearly skilled and we are loyal customers who are never disappointed with our dining experience.

No surprise that Casa Basso came through with a great 4th of July dinner. Soft shell crabs were the hit of the evening, with two veal dishes a close second; the usual starters; and Italian white and reds as recommended by the helpful server. Outside lights were turned off for the fireworks display over the canal.

We had a large group for a bachelorette weekend and made reservations at this restaurant. They seated us at a large round table, which was perfect for conversation. There was no cocktail menu available, but they had a full bar. The menu offered typical Italian dishes. I ordered the farfalle bellavista pasta, which was half in a red sauce with sausage and half with broccoli rabe in garlic and oil. The food was a bit bland for my taste - not bad, but not very memorable. I felt the prices were a bit high for the quality. The restaurant was quiet and not very crowded.
