"this was our first time here and I was a little concerned after I read all the negative reviews, but I would never have feared that the service was amazing and that eating was very good. the intention is of course the main drawing, but it was dark, so we could not really enjoy that this magnificent view. we started with the French wobbles soup that was on the square and then our server gave us a free cup of lobster bisque that was delicious and we wished we had more of it. the most important courses were salmon and cajun linguine both were very tasty, but the linguine was not at all spicy as it was advertised as very spicy it was still good. the waiters were up on their game kept our water...

very nice place. we are at 4:30 clock just in time to sit outside and catch an amazing sunset. that was great. I can't remember the names of the waiter, but he was very friendly and attentive. they would be highly recommended!

we thought we wanted to say the Thanksgiving Special only that it was not available until 4:40 clock. this might have been the mistake of open table; not sure. very disappointing. Thanksgiving Day; seemed to be understated. server were accumulated, service was slow. that was good, not the special meal we had hoped for.

"First time eating at this restaurant. The food was delicious. I would recommend the sea bass, scallops and double cut pork chops. The side of corn risotto, which had fresh corn in it, was another delicious dish. As the restaurant became more crowded, the noise level was higher and it became more difficult to carry on a conversation with people at the table."

"It's got to be one of the loudest restaurants in Orange County... the brick walls and the small tables make it very intimate and if you're into that type of a atmosphere it is great! I would recommend sitting at the bar... at least you can speak side by side and have a little conversation. But you will want to go here because the food is amazing... everything we tasted was fresh, high-quality, handmade and really delicious. Thinking back on the menu there are at least 12 things that I still have to go back and try. Think more red sauce southern Italian family-style then upscale northern and more refined dining."

"We were in surfing and sand for 4 nights and every morning we had a wonderful breakfast at Splashes! The Bannana French Toast was amazing and very full! The view of the sea was panoramic and one could feel the sea breeze. All servers and staff were very friendly and friendly. We celebrated our anniversary with them and Rigoberto made it a day to remember! I would highly recommend eating at Splashes Restaurant for every occasion!"

"This is a great seaside restaurant with excellent views of the water from both the tables outside and inside. While the views are excellent the food is excellent as well. I had Sea Bass and my wife had Lobster Bisque and both were delicious and prepared well. Our server, David, was attentive, knew all of the items on the menu in the most minute of details, and was very friendly. A non-food related bonus is that the hotel where the restaurant is located, Surf and Sand, has valet parking for restaurant guests. Parking is a challenge everywhere in Laguna Beach and the valet service made the dining experience much, much easier"
