"This place is known for their broken rice plates. I've never had broken rice before this, but essentially they are broken rice grains from the milling process, so the rice grains used is a lot smaller and shorter. I had the special broken rice plate, which came with shredded pork and grilled pork. It was pretty good, but I think recently they raised the prices so it's basically around $20, which I think is quite pricey for a rice plate. It does satisfy my Viet food cravings when I'm in the Fremont/Newark area."

For a restaurant that is open until midnight, I would say this is a good option when you're craving Vietnamese food. The price of the food might be a bit steep by a couple of more dollars per dish. However, it's a minimal price to pay for late night eats. I'd come back and support this business. Solid three star restaurant, for sure.

"Very disappointed in our Banh Mis. We ordered the chasu Banh mi which they advertise to be Japanese style but it tasted like the meat in bo kho (beef stew). The meat was tender but the overall sandwich was very dry. We also ordered the grilled beef Banh mi which didn 't taste like bo nuong but more of a Vietnamese beef jerky (Viets will know this reference). Again the taste of the meat wasn 't bad but the sandwich was very dry. Neither of the sandwiches use pate or Mayo but instead use a house special sauce but I didn 't taste or see any sauce in the sandwich. I am wondering if they only use pate and Mayo for their classic Banh mi. However a Banh mi missing these ingredients make it taste very lackluster and dry. In addition the bread tasted chewy and not fresh. And the pickled veggies were not very pickled the carrots taste like regular carrots. For $9.95 a sandwich the quality and taste is not there or justified."

"I just came home from Vons, I command to assume full boneless cause that 's what the boy has taken for 2 people suggested. I was asked if it was my first time and I said yes. I told him I ordered dinner for two. That's all I have chicken and rough Coleslaw and I don't know what the pink stuff is. I was expecting Pommes and Sauce with my order. "Mioki, from now on for me, shall be called Mi roll ki. Their rolls are beautiful, delicious, and filling. Came here for dinner on a weeknight and the service was phenomenal! Despite the crowds, we were able to get seated rather quickly (maybe around 5 minutes) we may have gotten lucky with the timing as the first wave was just wrapping up. Upon getting our seats, we were offered water with ice or no ice, lemon or no lemon. It was a nice touch to have that option as a patron. We knew we were going to get some rolls to share but were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dish of tempera green beans shortly after we were seated. The green beans tasted fresh and had a nice crisp to it but not overly breaded. The dipping sauce to me wasn't necessary but did had a bit of flavor to the bite. Great way to get in your vegetables for the meal! Upon checking in on Yelp, we also received and used the check in offer for an appetizer size of gyoza. These came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. It paired well with the dipping sauce. For rolls, we ordered the Cherry Blossom roll as it's our favorite and Mioki does an amazing job with it. Meaty bites and constructed aesthetically to make your mouth water and yummy grumbling. We also ordered the New Alaska roll, which was a new flavor profile for us. It is packed with smoked salmon and fresh salmon topped with a small slice of lemon. It was very tasty! To round off, we also got a TSY (short for Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail) roll and it had five huge pieces. Each piece was loaded with fish and had a lot of substance with each bite. It's in the pricier end for the number of pieces you get but due to each piece's massive size, it seems fair. And to end our service, we were served a pineapple slice nicely cut into small bite sized morsels we could pick out with toothpicks. Healthy and delicious dessert! The rolls are consistently the best off their menu and with the amazing service exhibited this most recent visit, they're definitely among the top of my sushi list in this area!"
