"We were on a vacation to Niagara falls and stopped on the way at this fantastic place. I don't know if this place is underrated, but it's really worth trying. We had a dine-in and the customer service was amazing. The food was super cheap and the quality of food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of food: sushi, noodles, wonton soup, general TSO chicken ?, duck, samosa.. Everything was amazing and so delicious. Fresh meat, great flavor and the food was ready within minutes. Ok, I'm going to be honest. This place is not beautiful, or fancy at all, not a place to take your significant other on a date... That out of the way, the food is for real. It's solo delicious, the pad Thai (beef) was amazing as well as the Samosas and Thai iced tea. Great flavors.

Horrible experience I will never eat here again. I ordered green curry and that is a picture of what I got. It was absolutely disgusting and didn’t taste like curry what so ever. I go back into the restaurant to have the food remade and I order potato curry instead, they didn't give me the chicken I paid for or anything. Safe to say the only good food you can get in Buffalo is pizza and wings.

Most definitely this is a family restaurant operated by a wonderful couple who really care about the food they prepare. The menu offers a wide range of Burmese and Thai dishes at very reasonable prices. They tend to spice on the mild side, so if you want more flavor, be sure to mention that when you order. There is seating in the restaurant, and they do a considerable amount of take-out. Dining here is very casual. As you can see from the many reviews that the food is generally excellent. This restaurant is on the very popular #5 Metro Bus route, so you can get here easily from UB South Campus, Downtown and just about everywhere in between.

"My daughter and her friend went in and used kiosk to order 4 sip club orders (one each for them and mine and my husbands). There were no cups at the kiosk area so she had to ask the cashier. "3 Years and Counting. Since I moved to Buffalo three years ago, I have been going to Star of India in Kenmore. The family that runs it is SO nice, welcoming and kind. The food is outstanding, I've never had a bad meal. My suggestions are the chicken makhani, any of the saag, garlic naan is a great starter, and the lamb is AMAZING. Best Indian in all of Buffalo/NF hands down."

"We left the restaurant almost before the order and wish we had the food. When the grim little woman sat at the front door, she laid all the way to the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen doors. The table was rolled and she cried over the bartender restaurant to put a coaster under one of the legs. When we sat down, there was olive oil or something that was spilled on the ground and made it very slippery. Instead of brushing it, the waitress threw some napkins under my chair and insisted that it was from my boots. It wasn't until the olive oil driped under the table on my pants that I could prove to her that it wasn't me. The food was of the same quality. My husband ordered an Italian duck and the meal didn't even come with a salad. The rolls were not the typical garlic rolls usually offered in Italian restaurants, but were cut up sub rolls with packages of hard butter. The fish was excessively fried and very dry. For the prices they calculated it was definitely not worth it. We often visit the area, but NIE will go back there."
