Hanz was an absolute pleasure. The nicest and most attentive server I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend. He added to the experience, we can’t wait to come back and be seated with him again!

Food is ok, nothing out of ordinary. Service is good, but this time we got helped by a waiter that was little bit rude and little bit mean. I was celebrating my wife's birthday so I expected something different.

"We wanted to try a seafood spot while we're in LA and found this little gem. Noticed that yelp pictures doesn't have the most updated pricing, so here you go... We stopped by around dinner time. There were plenty of seating and street parking. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. We ordered 3lbs of steamed clams, 1/2lbs steamed shrimp, and an Eastern lobster. Food was all delicious. The steamed clams: I personally like middle neck clams more, these were little neck clams, and we went through them in less than 3 minutes. They were still delicious though, just not enough. The steamed shrimp: we thought the shrimp was just a tiny teeny bit over cooked, as the shells were a little difficult to remove. That didn't stop us from practically inhaling the food! It was still very good! The lobster: what can I say? Lobster was amazing with drawn butter. It was so fresh! The meal came with 1 side dish, so we got coleslaws and a side of fries. The fries were very crispy and delicious, but NOT gluten free. We had a gluten sensitivity in the family, who tried eating this and felt it pretty immediate. Each thing came out with a bread roll, which we did not care for. Next time, we will ask for no bread, so we don't waste it."

"The food is adequate. You pay for the location, the scenery, the ambience and the service, all stellar. Our server was excellent. The Mai Tai's, fine. Glasses were more impressive than the drink but you get the umbrella and pineapple presentation. The calamari, adequate. Their cocktail sauce was ketchup, I was a bit embarrassed for them but the tarter sauce while like no other I've ever tasted, ie. not actually tarter sauce was quite good. I had the Ono special plate. Again, adequate. It was fine. Nothing to write home about in a place sitting so close to the ocean the crashing waves nearly hit our window and thus the five stars. At Duke's you're paying for and getting an experience. That experience is delivered with decades of, uh well, experience. Honed, crafted and perfected. You so not go to Duke's for the food. You go for the view, spectacular, the dolphins swimming by, we saw many, the outstanding service, and the rich tradition and history. You will pay for that but if you visit Malibu California without that expectation that is on you. Reserve a table at Duke's and enjoy it. We took some guests that flew for a long weekend at our house in Santa Clarita and I can assure you, we all did."

"My party and I dined at this restaurant on New Year's Eve. We had a reservation for 4:15, but arrived a bit late at 4:20. I called to inform them of our delay. The restaurant had beautiful views and the service was excellent. We are vegan, so they accommodated us by preparing the eggplant dish without cheese. I enjoyed an espresso martini and another recommended drink by our waiter, both of which were delicious. I would give this restaurant a perfect 10/10 rating."
