"My problem with Anderson's Restaurant is that the price tag was far and above the quality. The sides were pathetic. There was something like a dozen fries and half a dozen very small slices of cantaloupe. The sodas were flat. The main dishes both the Guemas Burger and the Beef Dip were good, but once again small. We went inside after lunch and got waffle cones for dessert. The ice cream was tasty but when we got down to our cones the ice cream disappeared, the large waffles cone had just a single scoop on top of the cone and nothing at the bottom. I spent over $45 on lunch and dessert , which I don't mind paying for a good meal with great view. I left Anderson's feeling ripped off and cheat...

Our party enjoyed a pleasant evening at the General Store and Restaurant. The food was great, the entertainment was well, entertaining! We will most certainly go again!

We arrived on Father's Day morning on the ferry--all 6 of us including 2 grandkids. We had the incorrect ferry schedule and needed very quick service in order to make the last returning ferry before the lunch break. (Missing it would have meant a 2 hour wait with two small kids. They were incredibly accommodating, and managed to serve a great brunch very quickly, allowing us to avoid a long wait for the ferry. We'll be back when we aren't so rushed. Weather was cold and rainy but will be much nicer when weather improves.

We went up to Anacortes for a meeting decided to grab a bite to eat rather than battle the traffic on a Friday back to the city. I popped open Open Table to see what Anacortes had to offer. On this particular Friday only 4 restaurants had availability, in an unusual way decided to try Anderson’s General Store, it was solely based on the pictures as there were no reviews yet. What a great experience it was! We took a small foot Ferry over to the island $2.50 round trip, 8 min ride) a short walk to the restaurant. "I ordered carne asada and tamales via doordash within 20 minutes my order was ready. I pulled up to the convenient drive-thru picked up my order. Friendly staff. Everything was so yummy. Their green salsa is divine, and SPICY! The carne was a little dry, but otherwise good. Definitely the MOST ethnic Mexican Salvadorian food I have eaten in or around Anacortes. 5 stars!"

"Stumbled across this small restaurant while walking in the area. Tried it for take out. We had sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken...both delicious. The food was so fresh and delicious. Food being served to others was very well presented. The restaurant itself has about 4 or 5 tables inside, along with covered outdoor seating, which others seemed to be enjoying. The menu is quite extensive and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. New to the area, this is going to be a favorite spot! Parking: Ample street parking and a public lot behind the building. "Absolutely spectacular. Better than most of the places we’ve eaten in Italy. This is what Italian food can and should be. Order the specials. We started with one of the best insalata plates I’ve ever had. Thoughtfully matched cheeses, pancetta, roasted vegetables and tomatoes, flavored with just the right oil and spices. Our main course of Halibut was cooked with a sauce that was light flavorful, and not overpowering. The accompanying risotto and fresh vegetables a delicious match. "It's a really cute and nice store. They have a good selection of books. I also liked the other things that they sell like cards, stickers and art prints. I got a really nice locally made card for $6. All the employees were friendly and helpful. The bathroom is nice and was very clean. I think there is only one and it is the kind that is it's own room. So you have the whole thing to yourself. My partner and I ordered iced lattes. They were really good. They were made pretty quickly, especially since there were a lot of orders ahead of us. I ordered mine with oat milk and my partner ordered hers with regular milk. We were not aware which one was which as they were not marked. I had to go back and ask. We also both had baked goods. They were good and tasted nice and fresh! There is a little area to sit and eat. Lots of people were working on computers and it was a quite, nice spot to sit and eat/drink. On a weekday, we were able to find close parking easily. It was street parking and it was just down the street. It was a quick walk and had a sidewalk the whole way."
