Huge pork ribs that were fall off the bone tender, half a chicken and the only place in town that serves mutton! Potato salad was excellent sometimes it is made with too much mayo or mustard as were the baked beans. Seasoned very well with some bacon and bbq sauce ? . The coleslaw was made with vinegar instead of mayo my preference and some celery seeds added the perfect flavor punch earthy and grassy with a slight bitter edge. Wife n friend ate there tonight I had 1lb rib plate w/fries n wife and friend had the Robert E Lee n fries! I've been eating there since 1968! The best ribs in this town!!

I was traveling through Evansville and chose this place for dinner specifically for the BBQ mutton, which I've never had and can't get in Michigan. Delicious! Good potato salad, too.

It's been a few yrs since I have ate there my son wanted to treat me to dinner Sunday afternoon and just as I imagine the bbq sandwich was very delicious along with sum great tasten poptosald my son ate the famous pound of ribs and baked beans And great service I'll be sure and not wait so long for my next bbq dinner dinner I couldn't of ended the nite any better great food with my awesome son thxs hiqure pit y'all have the best bbq around the tri state
