"This was our fifth night dining in Maui and we were looking forward to another great meal. What a disappointment! We had reservations at 7:30 and were seated promptly. Once seated we waited 45 minutes for the chef to come to our table. The waitress got our order wrong so the chef had to leave the table to get the correct food to prepare. Once he was done cooking everyone's meat he forgot our order and gave our food to someone else. The chef had zero personality and just laughed it off. We do not recommend this place to anyone. The added a 20% gratuity to our bill automatically even though there were just two of us dining. They did not deserve the tip!"

We usually go to Kobe's 2 or 3 times for dinner each time we visit Maui. We love the food and we have a great time watching the chef! We are going to Maui again this February, 2013, and can't wait to visit!

"Would give this place 8/5 if I could. I never had pork as crispy and perfectly cooked as here, from Michelin star restaurants to hole in the walls in Asia. If I were Anthony Bourdain, I would put this place on the map. We stopped at New Years and the owners were closed early, but they offered us to make crispy pork with onions and tomatoes because it would be fast. We had fun watching the chickens nearby. The food was well worth the waiting made to order fresh, the crispy pig was perfectly salted and incredibly crispy. The chopped onion and tomato salad was a delicious supplement. Even the rice was perfectly finished. If we got eggs, they would have been perfect. If you are looking for a perfect foodie experience in Lahaina I would highly recommend checking this food truck, then go half a block to Ululani for excellent shaving ice cream. This place is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! (See my pictures)"

"I really didn’t want to like this place because of how tourist it was but it’s well worth it. The deck is great, every table has a view, and the food was right on. The fries could have used a couple more mins in the fryer but the burger was the best I’ve had in weeks. The fish was lacking in flavor a bit but you can’t beat the freshness of the islands. I know it isn’t very island-like or Hawaiian but you can find something for everyone on the menu. I recommend."
