"We've been traveling through Gordonsville for years and were so happy to see this place! We have hesitated to go because we wanted more of a breakfast biscuits/coffee choice. The web had a little about these types of choices, but mostly cakes, cupcakes, etc. and lunch sandwiches that looked amazing, but not for 930. So glad we tried! Friendly, clean, great fresh coffee, scones, breakfast biscuits selection... yum yum . I will recommend it to everyone. I'm sure if you're not satisfied, they would definitely do it right. Oh, and when you go in and nobody's at the counter, they're just behind the counter in the kitchen. Just call out. And no, I don't work there. I am a real customer"

Best bakery in Gordonsville and its environs. The focus is on cakes and other sweet pastries. My favorite is the carrot cake.

I just started going to that place since I came back to Virginia. I work in Gordonsville Virginia and this place is in the little town. I really enjoyed their food there and the desserts they offer. I had no dessert, but I brought one to my son and he said it was great. If you come down in Gordonsville, you should go to this place because it's very nice.

"Best Barbeque in Virginia and North Carolina. Barbeque is an art, and Chef Hartman's establishment exhibits the greatness of his craft. I frequently travel along eastern North Carolina, and try a BBQ joint whenever I see one in a town. The one thing those establishments lack, is hardwood cooking (most use gas. I was amazed to finally find the Barbeque Exchange which produces pulled pork the way it should be done, slow on hardwood coals. When you first walk in, the subtle sweet smell of hickory wood is evident. The pulled pork sandwich is served on a fresh bakery roll. At the tables, six unique sauces, ranging from vinegar Carolina (Eastern , to molasses base sauce are available. The complexity of flavors on the pork were so good I didn't feel the need to put any sauce on the sandwich. The next day, my wife and I went back to pick some for a later date. Service was great, Chef Hartman even took the time to explain to us the process to freeze the pork during the busy lunch hour."

"The Inwood Restaurant is a great local place to grab a reasonably priced meal. We enjoyed the fried flounder lunch special and the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The portions were large, and everything was tasty, except for the overcooked hushpuppies. That was my one and only complaint. The special included tea and pie...great!!!
