"This is definitely one of my favorite lunch spots when I'm in Metairie. I'm always pleased with the food and the service. First off, I've got to note that although the menu isn't large, the variety of dishes is fantastic. Everything tastes fresh and the dishes are consistent from visit to visit. The soups there is a soup calendar are always delicious! I often have lunch with my mom at Legacy, and it must be said that she's no easy customer to please! We'll, she orders straight from the menu here. No special requests, just takes her dishes as they are prepared. Seriously that's amazing for her! I love the Tuna Tango salad when I want something light and healthy. And by no means does light an...

Great service. Arrived about 12:30 for lunch with a party of five. Ordered a glass of wine, 2 cokes, water, and the truffle chips with blue cheese to start. Also ordered for lunch: the broasted chicken and grilled Brussels sprouts, the salmon, and the club sandwich. The chicken was so dry, we didn't eat it. The Brussels sprouts were hard. We have prepared them many times and never had that happen. I am not sure why they were so hard and not tasty. They look over cooked. See picture. The lunch came to $100.00 for five. With tip $120. It just was not worth it. I would go somewhere else.

To my server, Jasmine- girl! You are the BEST! With so many opinions of deliciousness on Yelp, and being wishy washy about what I wanted, having a severe like Jasmine guide you to the best choices makes all the difference in the world! She even steered me away from the blue-cheese-truffle chips (I know, Yelpers, that's near blasphemy-but she was concerned that it's such a large portion, and it was just little old me tonight . 5 starts just for you, Jasmine!! You rock! Now, on to the food: The loaded potato soup is rich and creamy without being overly sticky or milky. It tastes like a roasted potatoes, with good chicken stock base, and just enough rosemary to make you think a hunk of rump roa...

I went here for a quick birthday dinner and was pleased with my experience. The restaurant is simple but beautiful and cozy during the evening hours. It is an ideal place for a date or if you are in search of a chill restaurant. Now to the food... I had the chargrilled oysters. Whenever I try chargrilled oysters, I compare them to Acme 's. Acme Oyster House 's chargrilled oysters are the standard for me. These were definitely the closest to Acme 's that I have tasted. I was shocked because I did not think that there was a place that would come that close. Buttery, cheesy, bubbly...all the goodness that Acme offers. Plus, the overall taste is similar (in my opinion). There is $1 oyster Thursd...

"Who goes to Nola and think's Can't wait to try the Mediterranean food ? Well neither did I, but I will from now on. The Kabob House in Metairie has an incredible assortment of different drinks, foods, and desserts if you need a little change of pace from fried oysters and gumbo. What is seriously more impressive is that the food here was just as good as any I've had in NYC. New Orleans is a food town, but I had no idea this style of food was something I could find here with such quality. For the drinks I tried a soda that I had never heard of called Vimto that had black currants and other varieties of fruit with Hibiscus. I couldn't drink this all the time because it was very sweet, but it was excellent. The gentleman working the register also talked me into trying a yogurt drink. The best way for me to describe this is it was almost like liquid cottage cheese. The texture wasn't off-putting at all but I think this is one of those cultural things that you appreciate more if you grew up on it.The Falafel was very good. Brown fried crust opens to bright green inside and the flavor was totally on point. These were maybe $1 or less a piece and totally worth it. Also came with a tasty dipping sauce but they're plenty good on their own.The Chicken Shawarma over salad was really solid also. Nice crispy pieces from the outside of the spit but also still very tender and flavorful. The Kofta Kabob was seasoned perfectly and was gone before I could even take a picture of it! I am usually not even a huge kofta fan but this was excellent. The Beef Shawarma however was the best dish here, and it wasn't even close. The flavor and texture were as good or better than any I've ever had. Some pieces were more cooked than others and honestly, I'm not even sure which ones I preferred. This was served over hummus and that was also very good. Smooth and not grainy at all with excellent flavor all blended together.Goes without saying but i'll say it anyway, The Kabob House in Metairie, Louisiana Didn't Suck!"
