"If you haven't been to Lord Essex since September, you haven't been to Lord Essex. They have changed the format to an upscale steakhouse, and the experience was fantastic. We started with crab claws, shrimp cocktail, and crab cakes for appetizers. They were wonderful. Then we had lobster bisque and French onion soup, again fantastic. The steaks are all presented to you along with ala carte side options. We had the filet and surf turf along with asparagus and loaded mashed potatoes. "the personal was so inviting and explained everything in detail, which was really helpful, as we were not there yet. my man and I always landed bánh mì and donuts and everything was so delicious and hit the place, and super cheap too! we loved the cozy and colorful atmosphere and agreed, it felt like a lot of our favorite spots in minneapolis a welcome change from all chain restaurants elsewhere in the city. next time I am in rochester, I will be sure to stop again! updated by previous review on 2022 10 24"

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Local premium handmade, made on site ice cream shoppe with two locations. Ice cream parlor offers a wide variety of flavored ice cream, malts and shakes, cakes and pies and even made to order waffle cones. We once again indulged ourselves with the Flabbermast, that came with two regular scoops in a dish with two mini sugar cones on top for sails. Our picks was the ever decadent salty carmel, a caramel and sea salt flavored ice cream and my go-to Rocky Road with chocolate ice cream, marshmallow swirl and chopped almonds. Support a local business and find yourself screaming for more ice cream!"

"Ichi Tokyo is and has always been my favorite place to eat. Tonight they out did themselves, hands down. I always get the all you can eat. Recently when eating at the sushi bar seating the chef has been offering either a signature salad or signature roll at no extra charge. Tonight was a signature roll. It was a 2 piece roll called a lady finger. They were absolutely mind blowing. After eating an appetizer then 3 rolls and 9 pieces of sashimi, I was asked about a 2nd round and humbly asked for more lady fingers. Telling them I would gladly pay extra knowing they weren't on the all you can eat menu. After some coaxing they made a 4 piece lady finger. They were absolutely mind blowing to the point i of laughing out loud. ,lol, I literally could close my eyes and taste every flavor. I mentioned several times to add this to the full menu]. I will definitely be requesting these every time."

"My family had been staying in Rochester for three days for a convention of Jehovah's Witness. We were saving sushi for our last evening in town. We were so glad that we waited. We were very pleased with the immediately great service and attention from our waiter, Shane. His service was amazing all evening. No less amazing was the sushi. We decided to go the all you can eat route. It was a dangerous choice for a sushi lover. Unlike some all-you-can-eat places, the rolls were large and the ingredients were prime. Another plus for Ichi Tokyo was that your orders would be out within a couple of minutes of your order. I don't know how they made custom sushi rolls in such a short time. We Will definitely return next time we're in Rochester."

"Additionally, our food took a long time to arrive, and our water took a while as well. The server tried to upsell special drinks, stating, “Would you like to start with Diet Coke?” which came off more as a statement than a genuine question; usually, restaurants offer water or options first. After we declined dessert, she handed us the dessert menu anyway, and we had to ask for our bill ourselves. Overall, the customer service was subpar, which is unfortunate considering I paid $20 for three fish strips, two bowls of fruit (with one bowl containing rotten strawberries), and nearly didn’t receive my second bowl. It's also worth noting that if you choose to substitute, you only get six tater tots for an additional $2.50 charge."
