"We started going to Mad Dans years ago when it was on the lake. They always served this wonderful crunchy appetizer (like crostini toast) with cheese. The fish fry was all you could eat and you could get broiled and batter fried together. This last weekend we took my family from Reno there and my son and son-in-law. The server was wonderful. However the perch was very fishy tasting as was the breaded haddock. My sister-in-law had the walleye and only had one bite it was so fishy tasting. If only I’d thought to send it back and get the beer battered. It was very disappointing especially after I went on and on about the best place ever. Potato pancakes were delicious. Saw today that they were giving up the ghost as of today!! Sooo sorry people no longer want to work... This wonderful couple need help!! If I wasn't retired I'd apply.. great food great place... We're losing a piece of history.

"This is a unique dining experience. The restaurant used to be a place for stage coaches to stop for the night a century ago. The restaurant is downstairs. Upstairs is a nice little museum that dates back over 100 years. Start with a nice dinner with wonderful service. I person ordered a filet mignon and it was right up there with the best steaks I’ve ever had. They always have specials that they let you know about before you order. They have a fully stocked bar for any drink you want, or choose from a short list of specialty cocktails. After dinner, take a trip through time and visit the museum upstairs. The ambiance isn’t the same as typical steakhouses nowadays. More like a dinner club. Be prepared to spend a bit, but the food is definitely worth it. Parking: Parking lot is gravel with no actual markings for parking spots aside from the disabled parking spot. Wheelchair accessibility: There is ability for someone in a wheelchair to access, with the exception of the museum up a flight of stairs."

"On a Saturday for the amazing Prime Rib to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. We didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes until a table in the dinning room, so we sat at the bar and had a drink and ordered an appetizer that the owner recommends. That was spicy shrimps on rice with corn sausage. It was delicious. Then we ordered our first-class rib dinner and while we waited, we were equipped with a veggie plate with ranch and crackers and cheese spread. We were filled with butter. Then we'll serve the soup I ordered, and the salad my friend ordered. My soup was cheerful asparagus. It was very good, I loved it. When our first Rib dinner came, it looked so perfect. It's always the best. So delicious. Just blow your mouth. I didn't think of mine, but my friend did it and he liked it. I highly recommend it here for Prime Rib dinner. It is a great atmosphere and you will feel welcome as soon as you go through this door. Great customer service and everyone had a smile."
