"The ordered food was hot and well prepared. Chickens were tasty and crispy, although they were in a container and had to wait to eat them. The side salad was substantial and fresh, the salad was nice and cold and crispy, it was surprisingly delicious for a side salad! The sauce on the chicken parmigiana was a little too clobig for my taste, but that comes with the territory if you don't like tomatoes that I just pushed on the side."

"The staff here is remarkably friendly, our waitress Isabelle was extremely polite and constantly checked on us (she was fantastic at her job). The atmosphere is perfect and the people running it are incredibly polite, professional and kind. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant and supporting their business!"

"If you want great food, wonderful customer service, and to feel like you 've gone back in time then this is the place for you! TJ has excellent people skills up front and Steve has excellent cooking skills in the back so it 's a win win scenario! The milkshakes are huge and come with a refill cup every time! They have 2 famous(infamous is more like it) recipes from a long lost restaurant in Chapel Hill affectionately called the Rat- lasagna (bowl of cheese) and the Gambler(marinated skirt steak served on a sizzling hot cast iron pan with grilled onions on top and covered in a pile of steak fries with garlic bread high on top) both are to die for! If you want a sammich I recommend trying the sunflower bread which is made in a local bakery and is a Pittsboro specialty. The burgers and soups are great and the ice cream is sure to make you happy! Great place to take the family or friends or to take a visitor to give them a Kool place to talk about later! When you go and they take your drink order tell TJ you want the BEST cherry Coke he has ever made and he will know Kevin sent you!"

"Shocked that this is rated so highly. This worse than hibachi japanese you would get a a mall food court. Much worse. Its really embarasing that is is the only thing in pittsboro and that people think this is good. Yikes. Anyone who considers them somewhat versed in any ethnic food stay clear."

"In the interesting town of Pittsboro today to try one of 2 restaurants. Virlie?s, and City Tap. Heard about steak night at Virlie?s but that?s on Friday night and they were closed for the holidays so across the street to City Tap as they were just opening for lunch. Inside dinning was open for around 6 tables, and the bar. They also have a huge covered outdoor area so getting a table shouldn?t be a problem. Order drinks, and your food at the bar, then pick your seating. Only 2 were working the bar/kitchen area, but service was fast even though we were behind 5 groups catching opening time. I had the tuna melt, the wife had an Italian sub that?s her vessel of choice to compare restaurants. Both served with chips or bean salad. My tuna was definitely not the canned variety. Tastes of fresh tuna steak, with a touch of onions and supper melty white cheese that passed the stretch test. The Italian was a cold sub, dressed well with all the Italian meats, red onions and lettuce, and the classic dressing to make it Italian. She liked the crusty hoagie, but prefers a toasted Italian so this didn?t make her favorite. Great beer on tap and wonderful service. If I didn?t live an hour away I?d be a regular. Give them a try and ask to add a fryer for some fries and onion rings to the party."
