"This place has me HOOKED. I kid you not these are THE BEST WINGS I HAVE EVER HAD. These wings are covered in crack and they are so addicting. I don't remember the name of the flavor but YOU NEED TO ORDER THEIR SPECIAL FLAVOR. These wings literally got me oozing ranch out the sides of my mouth. Aside from my favorite dish if it weren't obvious, everything else was suppper good. The cheese bread was okay and was slightly on the more underdone side. I recommend ordering the mahi mahi plate because they season their fish to perfection. Me and my friends were celebrating our friends 21st and we all ordered our own margarita and they are HUGEEEE!!!! I recommend the mango one if you like it strong...

Amazing service- ordered the king crab, shrimp and mussels with sausage. Our server Jason was nice and had quick and friendly customer service. Will be returning soon!

The food was very good! I liked it so much that I brought my family for my birthday. They made it special by having the whole restaurant sing happy birthday to me! We all love the bubbling soap to wash your hands.

The food here was great! We ordered the king crab, mussels shrimp. And our server jason was super nice offered great service! Food came out quickly ended on a great note w/ something I've never seen before at a restaurant, it was a bubbly hand soap that came in a bottle which added to the ambiance. 10/10 would recommend!

Waiter was having a great time with other guest leaning on table and having a great conversation. Never came back to check on us. We were helped out by ur busboy. Yes tip was was given I did not take pictures of eaten food. To proof this. Tempo get on top of this Brea At end waiter noticed we are not pleased, bring cart of churros for inconvenience. Was charge enchiladas with pollo plus $7.00 for shrimp."

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience.My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments.While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature.The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff.On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"Keeping for a quick lunch on our anniversary and what a surprising pleasure in great food and customer service. We ordered street maisfries, wings, corn dogs and a southwestern fried chicken salad and all tasted great. We will definitely come back to a feast. They even treated us with garlic chips as welcome to eat here for the first time."

"Being that I am from Hawaii, and we have really bad Mexican food, I thought I'd try this place out. First off, join the loyalty program before you come! You won't regret it! I would normally have gotten the fajitas, but I was feeling pretty full from earlier, so I got the Ahi Aguachiles, ahi tuna topped with a mild cucumber-cilantro sauce, purple onions, Hass avocado, fresh jalapeno wheels and nori strips. My buddy got the tacos. I should have gotten the tacos because the ahi was a little too spicy for me. If you can't handle hot be careful. That aside, it was delicious and came with a generous portion of ahi. For dessert, I got the tres leches, which hit the spot. It came in like a shot glass sort of thing and was the perfect portion size. The star of the show, though, was the horchata. It was the best horchata I have ever had. Nice and creamy rather than icy and watery. If you are a horchata fan like I am, you have to get it. Our waitress, Taylor, was very hospitable throughout. The next time I come here, I will be sure to come with an appetite!"
