"I can't understand why someone had a negative experience at Rockport House of Pizza and chose to complain instead of simply asking for a replacement, which I know they would have gladly provided. I had the worst pizza experience of my life! I've actually had frozen pizzas that were better! The crust had no flavor at all. Service: Dine-in. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: $10–20.

There have been numerous complaints about the staff being rude. During my visit, however, the two teenagers at the counter were friendly and efficient. Last winter, though, I encountered a very different experience. I arrived at the restaurant about an hour before closing and found it nearly empty. The two employees at the counter completely ignored me as they engaged in a personal conversation. After a few minutes without being acknowledged, I left without having been served. So why two stars? They are open year-round, and I did enjoy a decent meatball sub on one occasion. This place really needs some competition. Is anyone interested in opening another pizza place in Rockport?

"Fun restaurant, this is something else for Rockport. We tried the slider sampler, seafood Mac and cheese, cream from crab soup and Calamari. We enjoyed all the food we tried! They also had the best beer and bourbon selection I saw in this area. I just want to see more plates for every diner so that the different foods are not eaten on your plate. Maybe give each person 3 or 4. Great restaurant!"

"Pier77 is still my favorite place for fried fish and shrimp. The batter they use is thin and crispy. We ordered the combo fish and shrimp plate to share and we couldn't finish it all. The French fries are fantastic. All the servers are very helpful and friendly."

"I was there three times to give the food another chance, but I really don't think the sandwiches are so good. I heard good things about the chicken salad, but I'm just not a fan of it in general, so I didn't say anything about it. I think it can be that they are too much of a meat in the sandwich and not enough of the other blows. I got the baked potato soup and when it was placed in front of me, there was a small bowl of blows hidden behind the cup, so I never saw the blow. So I ate a simple potato soup because I didn't know it came to the surcharges. That was a bummer. I thought it just tasted, but maybe it's good when the punches are added. All in all, I'm just not a big fan of the whole taste of the 3 different sandwiches I've tried now, but they have a redeeming quality. This is one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. So A on it!"

"Well, the food was really good, but I felt it was a bit expensive for how good. My big comment is that the pages were slandered while the meat seasons almost exaggerated the duck. If you ate them together, they were very good, but not everyone likes to combine them in a bite. We had fried, cooked, panned shrimps. We had pasta and potatoes. We had the tomato bisque and sidsalate. The dressing seemed in the house, and they were good. However, I recommend them on the side. They were very rich and too much was on my salad. The staff was nice and the artwork was a nice touch. It leans on a fancier outfit, but they don't have us in our shorts and flip-flops, which goes a long way with me. I'd go back."

"One of the best, if not best, Cafe's in Rockport. Our 30th anniversary in Rockport. We have breakfast there every 3 morning. The food was great. The best was the friendly staff. It is so nice to go to a small town and experience the welcoming and friendly nature of the locals. We had grown up our 13-year-old town, granddaughter with us and she was amazed at how friendly the staff was. This knowledge of her made the whole journey worth it. Thank you, JJ's, stop the great work."
