"I can't understand why someone had a negative experience at Rockport House of Pizza and chose to complain instead of simply asking for a replacement, which I know they would have gladly provided. My husband and I have always had wonderful experiences there. He absolutely loves their calzones, and I like to try different items on the menu. Today, I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon, and it was outstanding—hands down the best grilled cheese I've ever had, and I've been enjoying them for 58 years! I had the worst pizza experience of my life! I've actually had frozen pizzas that were better! The crust had no flavor at all. Service: Dine-in. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: $10–20.

There have been numerous complaints about the staff being rude. During my visit, however, the two teenagers at the counter were friendly and efficient. Last winter, though, I encountered a very different experience. I arrived at the restaurant about an hour before closing and found it nearly empty. The two employees at the counter completely ignored me as they engaged in a personal conversation. After a few minutes without being acknowledged, I left without having been served. So why two stars? They are open year-round, and I did enjoy a decent meatball sub on one occasion. This place really needs some competition. Is anyone interested in opening another pizza place in Rockport?
