Rod And Gun Club - Speisekarte

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, and it felt like stepping back in time! Our lunch was fantastic - we began with crispy onion rings and then enjoyed the flavorful broiled seafood platter. It was absolutely delicious!

Our waitress, who greeted us at the door, was friendly and welcoming. The food, aside from the daily sandwich special which was quite good, was fairly basic and average. The prices seemed a bit higher than justified, and there were discrepancies in the final bill compared to the menu prices. It's worth noting that they only accept cash, with plenty of warnings posted around the restaurant. Overall, visiting the Rod Gun Club was a unique experience, but we wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a must-visit while in Everglades City.

My friend and I came down for a Everglades adventure, and were looking forward to staying at the rod and gun. When we arrived, we couldn't find anyone in the hotel so we found someone in the kitchen and they helped us out. We were served an absolutely delicious fish, platter lunch and we each had two beers. It was great until we saw the bill was $140. Oh well, we're on vacation. We then got our keys from a really nice young lady who said we should wait an hour or so before our room was made up we said we would not be back till about 8 PM so that was fine.
