"My husband had been super excited to come to Stoudt's to sample more of their beer. While he wasn't disappointed with the beer, he did expect to be more excited by the beer than he was. There were a couple types he was hoping to sample that they didn't have. Now for the restaurant, the entrance is not well marked and we had a good laugh trying to figure out where exactly we should enter. It smelled a little stale inside and the restrooms need a good deep clean as it just had an odor of many years of patronage. Our server, Kate, was very sweet and attentive. The decor was interesting, the pub felt casual while the dining rooms seemed upscale. I felt a little under-dressed which is rare, but...

The apple sauerkraut on the kielbasa blows me away every time. It reminds me of dinner my dad would make but elevated to a really special place due to the excellent ingredients (how about that rye bun). My wife enjoyed the crab cake, and the French onion soup was another standout. The real star is the pretzel which is slightly flaky and buttery like an Auntie Anne's pretzel but flavorful and chewy like a Philly pretzel. It also comes with the most delicious dipping cheese and a really high end mustard. Don't forget the spatzel.

We drive from Philly just to get the delicious soft pretzel with cheese and mustard at Black Angus. It is no joke, incredible. The beers are also great and you can get a sampler. We love the kielbasa sandwich, spaetzle, crab cake sandwich, and even the fries are something special. The French onion soup is out of this world. We stopped here once because we were antique shopping, and now we come just for the food and the antique shopping is a bonus. I'm surprised by any negative reviews. Every time I've been here I've had kind and attentive waitstaff. Please go and give them a shot!

was quite disappointed overall. I came here with a party of 4 at 17 o'clock. the restaurant was quite empty. we have set ourselves. 5 minutes past, no sign of a server. That's weird. 10 minutes pass, and I have seen that two other servers visit the other two tables in the room, but neither an eye hit on us. seemingly we were invisible. I realized we were not served when I said something. after 10 minutes waiting time, I told one of the servers that passed that we had not yet to be served. She said, okay, checked the problem and finally came back to say that she will serve us.
