Went with a friend for a 'small plate ' dinner we could not eat the 'prefix menu ' without prior reservation . Nice setting, service totally absent, below average quality of the food, all that for $50 per person tip included. We ordered at the bar: 1 glass of wine each and 4 'small plates ' to share that were delivered at the table without a tablecloth! of our choosing in the garden. Thereafter, there was no water, no bread, no service whatsoever we even had to go back to the bar to get a second glass of wine. Of the 4 plates, the best was the carpaccio of halibut ; otherwise, ordinary green salad, duck pâté that was in fact 'mousse de canard ' with roasted pepper corn !? , and grilled chees...

Officially the best restaurant in Boonville (admittedly, there's only 5 or so to choose from, but wow, this one is the star). Sitting out under the tree covered patio at dusk, sipping local wine and eating the Sunday night paella can't be beat. Utterly romantic, and full of small town warmth and friendly little surprises. This was our first meal shared as a married couple after our wedding in Philo, and it was the perfect end to a magical weekend. They typically serve a prix fixe dinner menu (on Fri Sat), always changing and seasonal and all that good stuff. The best dish I've ever had here was a halibut ceviche with a creamy piperade sauce served in a raddicio cup. Mind blowing! Huge portio...

We have eaten at this restaurant 3 times in the last 2 years, our first two visits were a little disappointing but the service and the ambiance was exceptional so I waited to leave a review. This week 's meal was very good, but I 'm leaving 3 stars for the following reasons. We called ahead to inquire about a reservation and to see what was being served that night. We were accommodated last minute which was a win, we were told it was a prix fixe menu with homemade pasta, lamb sirloin with creamy horseradish with ratatouille and a pecan tart for dessert for $42 per person. We made our reservation and the service and meal were excellent. Now the plate pictured was the main entree for 2, for $8...
