"Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. The food was awesome! You can not beat the price! Great drinks! Great place with a cool dive bar atmosphere.... it's a must visit when you're in Port Jefferson...

"Literally the worse Panera in the area. I?ve called and complained but at this point they need new management. The manager doesn?t do anything to make you feel compensated in any way. She just makes excuses. From basic things like notifications foronline orders/ rapid pick up and the food itself are always a disappointment or problem. Today I had it, my sandwich wasterrible. Bread was dry and hard. Salad which was a full salad was half way full. Higher management needs to get involved!"

"The restaurant has stunning decor and offers delicious food! The portion sizes are generous, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed both the Mediterranean (Saganaki Special) and Italian (Chicken Sorrentino) dishes, and they were both outstanding!"

"The food here is amazing. I actually didn’t get the pasta when I went so I can’t say it’s the best pasta on Long Island. I had the lobster pizza and it was absolutely amazing. They also bring out a huge loaf of garlic bread right out of the oven it’s so fluffy and moist and delicious! Some of the best bread I’ve ever had. All their ingredients are quality and everything tastes really fresh. The place is a bit small and the first time I went it was a Saturday and they kinda rudely said you had to have a reservation on Saturdays but the food by far makes up for it."

"We attended during restaurant week 11/10). The hostess was very kind and got us seated promptly. Jason was our server and he was very pleasant and accommodating. The food was amazing, as well as the cocktails. We had such a good time that we spent almost 3 hours there. Looking forward to going back again"
