"Pros: Restaurant, while rustic, is fun and food quite good. Wine is much too expensive. Beds were comfortable. Cons: Paper thin walls. On one side the guy snoring kept us awake and then the kids the other side started playing and talking (not yelling) at 6am Bone crushing comforter, which meant you had a choice of a sheet and thin coverlet or a much too heavy and warm comforter. Eventually, they gave us blankets. No where to store comforter so, unfortunately, they were stored on the floor (expect this happens often) Inadequate lighting. Just one lamp between the queen beds. Room was always gloomy. Just a hanging rail and 3 hangers; for people staying 3 nights. Eventually gave us more hanger...

The whole place could use a deep clean. The wood floors in our room were filthy, they clearly hadn’t been mopped recently and left the bottoms of our feet black. Our TV didn’t work. The bathroom window screen had a thick layer of dust on it.Nothing about this hotel is worth over $300 a night.

I photographed a wedding here last October and it was a gorgeous location. Got to check out the rooms and the property. It's perfect for intimate weddings and across the street from the gorgeous Cambria Coast. This was in 2022 so not sure how it is currently!Photos by me Holly Castillo Photography

Currently staying here. Have never written a review after being at a hotel for two hours. Giving two stars because the location is beautiful. The pictures are not as advertised, and for the price, I was expecting a bit more. There is no a/c nor windows. The only airflow is from the patio screen door which does not lock. I brought my concerns to the front desk as this is the only option to have air and I’m a single woman. She said, flippantly , of course it’s safe. I am next to the pool and one would expect noise from the guests. Nope. The pool is gurgling non-stop, think loud drain. There is also another loud echo, and vibration.
