"This location is probably the smallest in Jacksonville. It's not really built for parties more than 4. We had 5 people and there was only one big round booth and it was taken. The rest were regular booths. So we ended up squishing in. Plus I wanted this chicken on cibatta bread and they said they could make it for me but it didn't taste like it did before. The Loop is known for their burgers and huge onion rings. That's the best items to stick with. Other than that the pizza is good but pricey and the tomato soup with grilled cheese! Yummy!!"

This location is smaller but the food and the service are just as good. The service was great. We ordered blue cheese chips and they brought them out before our food so we could eat them as an appetizer. I also put in a take out order with our food order and they let us know they would start cooking it as soon as they gave us our food that we were eating in. It was perfect timing. We had just finished and they let me know if was finished.

"The stellar team at Matthews made our anniversary a night we will never forget! So many little details I never noticed were missing in other restaurants made for an exquisite experience. No rushing or disingenuous check ins, I felt like we were honored guests being doted on in her home. As if the soufflé wasn’t amazing enough, she had the chef and entire staff sign our specialized menu, and gave us a detailed list of other things to do and experience when we visit Jacksonville to suit our tastes and interests. We’ve lived just an hour away for years now, and kick ourselves for not finding out about this gem sooner. We cannot wait to come back!"

"We had a roof terrace reservation and sat immediately. For a starter we shared the Maple Bacon Crullers. The crossers were light and had a sweet cinnamon butter taste, which was a great base for the maple frozen and bacon above. Our Entrees were the Black Sheep Club with Pommes and (2) steak and eggs. The club sandwich was huge, but my daughter enjoyed every bite. Our steaks and eggs were cooked and perfectly seasoned. The captivating potatoes were delicious from the softening of the Buerre Rouge. Every part of our culinary experience here was excellent. The ambience, food and service will be back soon."

"we had a group of 11 participants hamilton, and the staff immediately took us and made sure that all our requests were met and we were served in time. our table had a lot of selections the filet, ahi thunfisch, chicken piccata, lamb, escargot, scallops, lobsterbisque, goat cheese and kily salads, etc. and everything was seasoned and cooked for perfection! we will eat there again!"

"I visited this restaurant in January to celebrate my birthday, but the server forgot to input our orders until we had been waiting for an hour. No compensation was offered for the mistake. I decided to give it another chance for a special occasion on a Wednesday evening, but the server was rude and made us feel like an inconvenience. This used to be my favorite spot, but unfortunately, things have changed. Hopefully they will improve their staff soon."
