"First visit to the Timber Stone Grill while on vacation for my wife's Birthday. They have a nice outside patio seating section to go along with the inside dining and bar. The ambiance is pub style yet the menu and execution are upscale, along with the prices. We started with the Hearts of Romaine salad $12) to share, a well dressed salad with shaved Parmesan cheese, peppercorn and baguette croutons which was very tasty. Next we had the Tuscan Style Calamari $16), capers, olives, scallions, sweet peppers, this was very interesting and quite good, not your standard Calamari for sure. Excellent tempura battered fish sandwich! I highly recommend it! The kids menu had wonderful kids options. The service was fabulous. The location is right on the downtown strip. You can explore the town before or afterwards easily! This is a great place to eat when in the area. Indoor and outdoor seating!!!

Excellent experience here. Both versions of fries were good, and the gluten free version of the French onion soup was fantastic! Highly recommend!! My husband liked his pulled pork Flatbread as an entree and it was a good portion for lunch. Ryan was our server and he was personable and did a nice job. No complaints, would come again and recommend to others!

"We had dinner last night (opening night) and we had very low expectations mainly because of opening night kinks previous owners. We were very pleasantly surprised! We started with some appetizers for the table calamari (perfectly cooked) and spinach artichoke dip served with delicious crostini both were spectacular! Our entrees were rigatoni in a yummy, creamy sauce with perfectly cooked shrimp, spinach tomatoes and my husband truly enjoyed his burger fries. The servings are a good size and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I hope they can keep this up because we may have found our new favorite lakeside restaurant!"

"I have visited before and it never disappoints! We decided to go to the restaurant for lunch. What a wonderful experience! The only thing better than the food was the staff! I had the BBQ sampler and my wife had the chicken salad. Both were so good we went back the next day for the chili! The only thing I regret is they don’t serve dinner anymore. Years ago we went there and the dinners were fantastic. It was nice to see a working winery after going to some of the little wineries on another lake! We were lucky to go during pressing season."

"I'd give this place zero stars if I could. We were staying nearby in Hammondsport and were looking for dinner. We walked in 50 minutes before closing and other than 4 people at the bar, were the only patrons. The girl that took our order was incredibly rude and seemed annoyed that we were there. Same goes for the guy working the grill. We ordered at the counter and of course, this is a place that asks for a tip when you order, before you know how awful the experience is about to be. This was our worst experience in all of the Fingerlakes, which was otherwise great. Most people we encountered were warm and welcoming. The girl taking our order was pleasant and joking with the other patrons at the bar. The cook was forced to acknowledge us when we asked for something. We ate our bland burgers and fries and left immediately. Never once being thanked or checked on. I have no idea how this place is open if this is how they treat customers. I read some other similar reviews and can't help but wonder if those folks have anything in common with us. Don't go here, this place doesn't deserve your business."
