"We have been here a few times to eat with my dad and stepmom. The food the first time was hot, delicious and looked very appealing. The second time and third time we were not overly impressed.My stepmoms food was cold and almost dried out looking as if it had sat somewhere for some time. It was brought to our servers attention and she said she would bring out a new order, but it was the same.I would definitely just make sure what you are ordering is served at the right temperature and not sitting out somewhere.The server we have when we are in there is always super friendly and kind to us."

"We were passing through Marshalltown and came across La Carreta. We can’t say enough good things about this experience! The food was amazing, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The whole thing was great! I had the fish tacos, soooo good!! The homemade salsa was delicious. Definitely try!"

"Food was great and service was great. I ordered a cheese free pizza and they were great about making it and put plenty of toppings on it for me which most places don't but they did. They also put it in a to go box because no one wants that! No other place has ever done that and i appreciate that!!!"

"I also tried their chicken strips and other chicken options, which were satisfactory. It's not the amazing fried chicken we all remember from the '70s and '80s when it was located on Westwood, but it surpasses any other fried chicken I've encountered in the city. Of course, it doesn’t compare to Popeyes or Chick-fil-A, but unfortunately, we don’t have those options here. On top of that, the staff were friendly and polite, which is an added bonus. In the earlier KFC Taco Hell days, the employees often seemed stressed, and I can’t say I blame them; working at Taco Bright probably wasn’t the best experience. In any case, give them a try—you might be pleasantly surprised. The chicken sandwich is likely their standout item."

"The food was undercooked. I arrived at 9:45 PM, before the 11:00 PM closing time, but there was a loud vacuum next to me while I tried to eat and have a conversation, which was quite annoying. I was surprised that they didn't ask me to move my feet so they could mop. The staff seemed more focused on chatting than on serving us, and we had to wait 15 minutes after finishing our meal before anyone brought us our bill. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience with poor service."
