"It has been a while since I last dined at Taqueria Santa Cruz. I graduated from Cal Poly in 2016, so returning to this location was a new experience for me. My usual order has always been the chimichanga, and this visit was no exception. I also got myself a horchata, as I usually do. Although the chimichanga is now priced the same as the Super burrito (unlike before), it still tastes just as delicious as it did years ago. While the value may not be as strong as it once was, I still consider it the best chimichanga in its price range, which is saying something. I am from the Bay Area, where the competition in Mexican food is fierce. Most restaurants in San Luis Obispo wouldn't be able to measure up, but when it comes to the chimichanga from Taqueria Santa Cruz, it is truly top-notch. The horchata was a bit on the thinner side, but it was still satisfactory and provided good value. I don't visit this area often, but when I do, I always make it a point to indulge in a chimichanga."
