"we sat outside, as it was a nice afternoon. it was a bit loud when dogs bark. service was good and pleasant, not hurry! we had drinks and appetizers of crabcake, nori and calamari. then we ordered rose to eat. there were beautiful tuna, more nori, haddock and zuppa de peche. all were very good and perfectly presented. the Lime cake was with its tartness on the square and the coffee was good."

"The service was friendly and attentive. Portions big and sushi rolls were great! There was confusion between servers on who was serving our table, so there was a minor delay on taking our order. They brought us a yummy appetizer as an apology and we thought that was above and beyond what they needed to do. My friend spilled her soup and they helped clean up and brought another soup for her. Will definitely come back!"

"They used to be good but now????? Horrible food and everything changed. Nacho chicken with no chicken at all the waiter came and checked it and you know what they did they put on the side and gave it to us. We were going to leave but we had a people with us from Australia and we did not like to get embarrassed .We paid a lots of money for the worst food which maybe Taco Bell is little better. Our waiter Ryan was very nice but he saw everything. We used to spend a lots of money there going at least once a week and if we have visitors we used to take them to “hub” all the time. But that was our last visit! One the place that’s out of our list we really feel bad on how it’s going down hill."

"Overall it was a very fun experience! Definitely better than other “igloos” I’ve been in before. Pros: Food and drink minimum was reasonable, and food was delicious. Most of the champagne chalets were very cute and decorated nicely. Our server Jordan was fantastic attentive, helped us with pictures, pleasant to talk to, really enhanced our experience. Keep up the great work, Jordan! You’re killing it. Cons: We were given clear, standard plastic cups for our drinks, not even plastic champagne flutes, which didn’t make sense to me because the “igloos” were on top of turf so glasses breaking shouldn’t have been a concern. Kind of weird to drink Veuve out of plastic, especially when the restaurant marked it up by over 100% (typical bottle is $70, but 1776 charged $150). Also the chalet next to us was given real wine glasses. The food was served in to go containers. Maybe it was in an effort to make the servers’ lives easier, but that coupled with the plastic cups made the experience feel a little cheaper than expected. The “love” themed chalet looked a little tacky and I’m glad we weren’t given that one. A price tag was left on the top of our coffee table and a decorative tray was placed on top to hide it vs. just removing it."

"we had an early reservation on a Saturday night recently, restaurant was not busy at all! the bartender waited very slowly for us, I was looking forward to her early roles and her kalamari. they were jumping out at 17 o'clock! the kalamari was terrible, handed over and over! they have changed their recipe naturally because it was one of our favourites! my man court was garnelen stir fry and a chicken dish. both limits! our son ordered a sushi dish that was expensive and not very good. it is sad to see a restaurant go in quality and service, we unfortunately crossed it from our list of favorites! very sad as we like to support wheaton and glen ellyn restaurants!"

We were the only customers when we arrived, but four other people came in 30 minutes later and received their food before us. When we inquired about our order, we were given conflicting excuses ranging from losing our order to not even putting it in. The manager apologized, but no one gave a clear explanation for the mistake. Despite the delicious sushi, the disorganized service makes me hesitant to return in the future."

"I'm not sure why this place has so many good reviews. We had a unfriendly waiter that made us feel rushed to make a decision, than never checked back after ordering. Tempura appetizer came with 2 shrimps and oil logged veggies. All the rolls were over sauced and the seafood did not seem fresh. Chicken teriyaki very underwhelming. "my sushi place! it is so regrettable that it is currently closed due to this situation, but waka never fails to satisfy me and all that my friend asks for sushi. when I first entered, the visual aesthetics of the restaurant was the first thing that took my attention. I love small town restaurants; they are so original and offer so much personality. I ordered the obstsalat, the classic Californian roll and dumplings. I was satisfied (not surprised yet happy, but quite satisfied) with their trips and lots of food they gave us. the service was very fast, and our waitress gave us a plate of honigtau, chocolate and other small bonbons when we were finished. their entire staff and team were great. I needed change of money, and when I asked our waitress for something change, she was extremely polite and respectful and quickly brought us all the changes we needed and patiently exchanged with us. she has also repeatedly checked on our table, refilled our drinks and brought us serviettes while offering her help. this is a great place to visit as soon as this world-wide incident is over and the restaurant is opened again! it is the best Asian fusion and sushi bar I had here so far, I can't wait to eat here again (hopefully sooner than later)!"

"My husband and I come from the Middle Island to Smithtown, just for the sushi. And definitely worth the trip. We're never disappointed. Also the owners Alex and Sharon are wonderful people. They treat everyone like family. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. And some times I noticed other customers who sit and enjoy their dinner, we are often very friendly. It's like this place's gonna bring kindness to everyone. I wonder if they add something to the food, LOL. Sushi is always fresh and tasty. My husband is very picky about his sushi. And the best part of it is the menu that has a variety of delicious dishes. And very good for what they give you. Do not get nervous when it looks busy when you get there, they always make room for guests. The pros and cons, pros, delicious, clean, friendly, reasonable. I wish it were closer to home."

"I absolutely love this restaurant! The food choices are always incredible, with delicious sushi, sashimi, bentos, pineapple frits, and tonkatsu don being some of my favorites. The drinks are fantastic as well, although they currently do not have a liquor license. I have been a loyal customer since they first opened, and I still love it just as much as I did back then."
