"I was looking for a nice Chinese restaurant seat, since my last favorite place recently closed. I came across Red Pepper and decided to go as I was in the area, I'm sure I did it! This place must be the best Chinese food I've ever had seriously. We ordered the General Tsos Chicken and Orange Chicken to share with each other, there was so much food we couldn't finish everything! The chicken is extremely fresh, cooked and baked to perfection and the sauces are ghost bags! I saw that they also had some spinach dumplings on the menu, something I had never passed, so I decided to give them a way. They were nice to try, but I don't think I'd order them again because they weren't my thing. The drinks come in these big cups, something that the owner son told us, like a lot of people who would go to a gym nearby and drink a ton at a time so that they wound up, give all these oversized containers to drink, since especially during the Houston heat waves would be a godsend. The tea was freshly brewed, super taste. The owner son talked to us a bit about the history of the restaurant and some of the dishes as it was a bit slow when we went what it was nice to meet the local business owners as I tend to get away from company chain restaurants. The absolute only reason I want to fall a star, that I only give them half a star, are the decorations of the dining area. It usually looks like a hip dining area for old people in the 80s with a mirror that takes up an entire wall. I don't shy away from the view in the mirror every morning, but I don't really want to see how I eat or see my own every movement and facial expression while I'm for a good meal. That means it's extremely clean, the food is excellent and I can't wait for my next visit to Red Pepper!"
