"So... I'm sad to say that Tom's changed. I loved this place and loved to come here with friends, before or after a show (we do theatres in downtown). But apparently 3 weeks ago (after our waitress) they changed the menu. What an understatement. The whole happy hour structure and menu options shrunk, including portion sizes except prices. Their streets tacos were a real highlight many options, large portions. Now, much smaller tacos and only 3 options. Very disappointing. And very few articles are now included in their happy hour. Pay $13.50 for 3 small tacos about 5 in diameter and therefore very little food in them is a tear, pure and simple. I'm from NYC, so I'm annoying for very little f...

In Denver for a convention and found Tom 's Urban on Larimer Square and reserved a table for this night. No need. The food was mediocre, the service was mediocre, and the ambience was mediocre (may I have said Fair-to-middlin) rather than mediocre, but it is what it is. It was good for a quick bite to eat, but I guess I expected more. Why did I expect more? This quote on the website (probably by Tom himself): I traveled the world to bring the sights, sounds, tastes and culture from as many places as possible to your table. I received a doctorate in Flavor and Fragrance Chemistry, was named by Gourmet Magazine as one of the top 25 food entrepreneurs of the last century and dedicated my life t...

"Love this place! Absolutely zero complaints. Wife surprised me with a stay in Rino for Father’s Day with Colorado Sake being the main reason for the stay. I’m a sake enthusiast at home. Everything we tried was amazing. We spent a couple of hours and did a couple of flights along with some Kanzake(warm sake) and tried 5-6 different izikaya dishes and they were all amazing. We stumbled upon a comedy show that we didn’t even know was happening which was absolutely hilarious. I loved the place so much, I ended up going back in the morning for round 2 and tried the remaining flavors I missed the night before.Met Taylor and she was incredibly attentive and helped us get through the rest of the flavors so we could pick the 6 bottles I wanted to take home as well as recommending some amazing food options. They had ran out of take home bottles and she did everything in her power to figure out a way for me to be able to bring home the bottles we wanted. Thankfully the owner came in with more bottles right before we left. All in all, one of the best Father’s Day trips I’ve had, such good food and the best drinks.I can’t wait to go down there again. Unfortunately I have a feeling I am going to have a hard time drinking the traditional sake I’m used to because this slightly different version is so damn good!Again shoutout to Taylor and the crew for taking the greatest care of us.This place rocks!!!"
