"Highly recommended- excellent service, food, and ambiance. We did over-order with samosas and rice. the samosas were delicious and large- recommend asking kitchen to divide into 4. We were 7 adults and 3 young children- 3 orders were too much. We ordered 2 vegetable pakoras which was the right amount. 3 orders of basmati rice may have been 1 too many. We ordered medium spice on most and spicy for beef vindaloo. My son thought we could have ordered spicier."

"It was fantastic time and experience to eat in this facility. Our waitress Adon was very helpful and informative. I would highly recommend asking for her. Great atmosphere and great service. The food was kind. Very recommended to eat there again."

"Prompt welcome by host. Seated before our reservation time. Waitress was very knowledgeable about menu. She did not rush us. Food was delicious. Prawns and scallops were cooked just right; not overcooked. And the pasta was served in a lemon sauce.Yum!"

"This restruant had many flaws. The service is terrible and the prices are insane! The food was very overpriced and they gave very small amounts of food. The servers were incredibly rude and the service tip was 26 dollars! I definitely don’t recommend this place. Edit: When we first came into the restaurant we saw the owner of the store arguing with people, we found this very odd but we countinued to stay in the restaurant. When our food arrived we saw how small the portions where since we payed 20 dollars for butter chicken. This was very upsetting since it was very overpriced and you guys did not give us enough rice. Apparently the rice was payed separately? Our waiter was very kind but when our bill came we asked to split the check where a very rude lady started arguing with us saying we cant split the bill so we payed with one card. What restaurant doesn’t split bills? I have never seen a higher service charge. There was no problem with the food, but since it was so overpriced we decided to eat it."

"I have a chaat combo here for dinner that was pretty great. Chaat combo is for $14.99 and comes with 2 chaat dishes, pad and a free drink. I took sev dahi batata puri and pani puri. I took Chaas as a free drink. It was great. Value for money. I went during peak hours and was not happy with the parking situation. It was clogged and the people who came after picking orders were random parking. We had to wait 10 minutes to get out. Another thing we observed was that the waiters did not coordinate. We gave an order and then another guy came and asked if the order was ready. You can avoid this by assigning a table to a person. But I love her. Your Dabeli is not a Dabeli at all, so don't buy it. Your wipers are not great either. They put vegetables there that are not thoroughly cooked."

"We placed a catering order for a birthday party. We ordered Morog Polao, Mutton Rezala, Chinese Mixed Vegetable, Shingara, Borhani, and Rosomalai. The food was exceptionally delicious with pure Bangladeshi flavor. All our guests loved the food and asked about this place. We always crave for good quality Bangladeshi food with good taste. We will return to this place and strongly recommend for authentic Bangladeshi flavor. Plus, their customer service was outstanding. They deliver our order on time. The portion size was also generous."

"While the quality of the food was good, it was overpriced. My husband and I had a check of $100 dollars without purchasing alcohol. This is the sort of establishment that doesn’t include rice in the cost of your entree, so it feels as though you are being milked as a patron. We also had a remind our waiter about a food item we ordered but didn’t receive in a timely manner."

"Had the worst experience! Someone walked in the bathroom when I was using it. The madam ji staff didn't do anything about the fight that happened later on because of someone puking all over the restaurant and spilling champagne over other people. We got into a fight later and the staff never bothered to call 911 over these trashy people. I don't know how they could serve alcohol to this table when clearly they were so drunk. I would never go to this place again."

"Indian food is different depending on what region or the country it comes from. Viceroy Royal specializes in food from the northern region of India and is among the best we have tasted. On the other hand the service is well .... less than what you would expect. We eat here frequently and the order almost always gets mangled in some way and this is what we experienced on our most recent visit on Sunday October We ordered as our appetizer Chana Padi Chat a dish served cold consisting of spiced chick peas, potatoes, and flour dumplings. This is one of our favorite dishes at Viceroy. As an entree we ordered the lamb curry which is also excellent and along with a shared appetizer and the onion paneer kulcha is more than enough for two people. As in the past, the order got screwed up. Our entree was served and the server seemed to have totally forgotten about our appetizer. So we ended up having the entree first, followed by our appetizer. The food is great. The setting is attractive. The wait staff are friendly and attentive, but don’t seem to be able to consistently deliver what you order repeat your order several times to be sure the waiter had it written down and then be prepared to be surprised. We will continue to eat at Viceroy because the food is excellent"

"In an area filled with vegetarian Indian restaurants with many vegan options, I must say they are not the top in any way. I went with the intention of having a dosa, and they had a $8.99 lunch buffet coming with a dosa. The manager showed me what was vegan and even said, let me check for one thing and went into the back and said it wasn't vegan. This adds points there as he maintains and double checked. I had an eggplant curry that had good taste, but the eggplant was really big and undercooked. There was another dish with cabbage that was delicious and it was very little left and they had no more. He wanted me to want more. I had a masala dosa and it was best okay. The dosa itself was overcooked and not very tasty and it was minimal and tasteless and contained peas. Not that there is a problem with peas, but not my choice to have them in a dosa. Overall, I am not sure if I would go back with the other options in the area."

"it was a near 3 star experience with the service 3,* eat 3,* ambiente 2.* the trip to henrico (13 miles) and the place (more miles on a busy strip) could slow down an eager diner in the city. we enjoyed a beer and glass wine, appetizers, and entrée (lamb biryani, sizzling meat plate) and enjoyed all this. Nevertheless, in a series of Indian restaurants, we were unclear how indien k’raja was rated so high."

"Nice and cozy place. Food was fresh and very well made. No corners cut. The butter naan was nice and crispy and full of butter. One of the best I?ve eaten ever. Biryani was nice, fluffy rice and the right amount of spice. The gravy we ordered too was tasty, not too oily and light on the stomach. Overall I?d recommend this place. People living near this place you?re lucky to have a solidly good Indian restaurant near you."

"I give the place a 2 overall as some of the dishes miss the mark. However I 'd give the biryani dishes a 4. The chicken tikka isn 't very flavorful and dry. The naan bread came out 10 minutes after the entrees which is annoying as you are supposed to eat it with the dishes. We ordered a lamb kebab which we were told was very popular but it ended up being a minced patty like a thin hamburger fried on a flattop. Nothing kebab about that. I feel like naming it a kebab is misleading or that the server should or the menu should have mentioned it. Second time I went there my friend got a bite of food with some steel scouring thread in it. We pointed it out to the staff who apologized for it but they didn 't really seem to care. When we asked for the bill they didn 't apologize or acknowledge that we had metal bits in the food. This stuff happens but a little more acknowledgement or apology would be nicer than pretending it didn 't happen"

"Chicken Curry (under Afghan item) was very spicy and tasty. It would be nice to have a bit more chicken but overall delicious. The Chicken corn soup was different than I expected a soup to be, it was gelatinous but the more I ate it, it became more liquid. It tasted peppery and have a nice ratio of chicken and vegetables. For Seekh Beef Kabab, I was imagining a Pakistani style seekh kabob that is ground meat formed into a skewer. It was chunks of beef which I was weary about because it tends to be too overcooked and chewy. However, I did enjoy it because it was tender and tasted amazing. The Plain naan was good, cannot go wrong with it. Overall, pretty satisfied and I would order these items again! Suggestion to have more lunch menu options."

"The food at this place is incredibly delicious! The tandoori shrimp we ordered was hands down the most delicious dish we've ever had from an Indian restaurant. The chicken biryani was also tasty, although the chicken was a bit dry for our liking, so we probably won't order it again.Unfortunately, we didn't receive the kale goat cheese naan that we ordered. They were willing to fix the mistake, but considering the heavy traffic in NOVA, it was too much of a hassle to go back. This was quite disappointing."

"Excellent and unique compared to many other indian food in the area. One of the few places that actually spices their food properly, so rejoice if you like things hot and spicy. The Gobi Manchurian, Paneer 65, and fish dishes are out of this world good. That sesame naan too, ugh, I can't stop going here. Update: Having back multiple times. Have never been disappointed with a dish. The kebab plate is a great way to sample a little of everything and their shish kebabs are fantastic. The pomfret paturi was one of the best and most unique whole fish preparations I've had to date. Please also try their desserts as the falooda is incredible."

"We went for the Sunday buffet and the waiter was really happy to tell me which of the dishes were vegan. It was probably about just under half of the vegetarian dishes which for me is a great choice as usually there is only a choice of one. The food was flavorful and the waiter brought me some poppadoms as the naan was not vegan. My only suggestion to the staff is that they put a V or some sign on the food labels on top of the buffet counter because although he went through everything with me I forgot what was what on my second go around and had to ask him again.
