"The atmosphere and service are great. However, the food leaves a lot to he desired. We started out with the cheese plate and crab cakes. Those were both good. Then our table had the falafel, two steaks, creamy tomato soup, and I had the mushroom stroganoff. The falafel was dry. The steaks were cooked okay but the sides (twice baked potato and squash were mediocre. My stroganoff was so salty I couldn't eat much of it. The salt overpowered any other flavors it had. (They did take that off our tab. Our drinks were good. Our server was very nice. It's a beautiful atmosphere. But for a total check of around $245 (without tip , I expect much more from the food. I would recommend going for drinks and apps only, unfortunately."

"The home fries lacked seasoning and resembled hashbrowns, while the scrambled eggs were bland and resembled an omelette. It was unclear what the restaurant was trying to achieve with these dishes."

"I am so grateful that I was referred to this bakery when I needed a special cake, cupcakes and cookies for the baby shower of my daughter. the way they decorated them over all expectations, even more beautiful, then the pictures I gave them to use as a guide - the decorator is an amazing artist. the aromas of desserts were heavenly above all the strawberry-champagner they recommended for the cake. everything I asked of them was done until the ninth grade. there are not enough words to describe how satisfied I am with this bakery. they have earned a very loyal customer for years."

"My partner and I waited over 20 minutes for to meet our waiter/waitress and they never arrived. So, we decided to leave and go elsewhere. On our way out, we came across the manager who was too busy watching videos on his phone instead of ensuring that his wait staff was doing their jobs."

"Very loud but it was for a playoff game. Service was extremely slow and our server was scarce. Looked like they were shorthanded. My salad arrived slightly limp and with no dressing. Should not have left the kitchen like that. Not the best visit but we will still go back."

"VERY!! expensive, but the worst part was paying. I used my debit card, but they have a new system. Their machine wether you use a credit card or debit card it charges you $2.47. It does not ask if you agree to pay it and they will not tell you your paying it, it just charges you an ATM fee. Using a credit card it will be a cash advance and you will be charged by your credit card company as well. PLEASE BECARFUL. Also very rude service it's the customers fault all the time."

"I'm not a big amy ice cream fan and I know I'm inferior. I like it, but I'm not a huge blows mixed in my ice type, and that's her thing. all the other loves Amy’s so let my review not stop them from trying it I’m sure they love it too! I think it's also a little expensive, but that makes sense as I don't have toppings guy! Anyway, this situation is new when I was in austin years ago, directly opposite, very nice, clean and friendly staff. the image is minze chocolate chip egg with crushed oreos and marshmallows. Yeah, too much for me in there and for 9 dollars I would have had a gallon blue bell."

"Waiter knew we were trying to get to celtics game and never once checked on us. Place was pretty empty and yet it took an hour for 2 sandwiches and they never brought the appetizers. When we finally got the food it was decent at best. With so many options in the area, skip this one!"

"The overall experience was good and service was very good. We ordered the Fettuccine Jambalaya and the Chicken Penne Rigatte. The dishes were just ok. I understand that both dishes have a cream sauce but they were heavy on the oil. I planning on coming back it’s a great restaurant. It seemed that some of the usual entrees we’re missing from the night’s menu. I noticed they use the cheapest take home containers. With the evolution of take home dining over the last couple of years you would they would upgrade their containers."

"We had an amazing meal at this restaurant! The clam chowder was absolutely delicious and very rich and creamy. We also tried the haddock fries, which were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. This was definitely the best meal we've had in Maine. We went early before the dinner rush, so we had the dining room all to ourselves. Overall, we give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect rating of 5 out of 5."

"We had a lovely evening. Our server, James V., was outstanding. Personable and professional. We had many questions about the menu and he was most helpful. We all ordered from the Test Menu, and were thrilled with our choices. Five Stars!"

"Holy Cannoli! Where should I start? The food, the service, all top notch! My wife and I decided to try Fortunato's after hearing from one of our friends and boys, she brought us in the right direction. The seating is very comfortable, you do not feel squeezed or hurried in any way. It felt like Fortunato and his mother Maria would invite you to their house for dinner. As you sit, you will be greeted with homemade warm garlic bread! Literally the bread is made on this day on the grounds thanks to Fortunato a master pastry cook that we learned thru conversation. At the beginning we ordered the burrata, which came with freshly shaved prosciutto and a house dressed Arugula Salat. Phenomena! Then I ordered the Risotto de Mare and my wife ordered the spinach and cheese homemade ravioli that made Fortunato while we were there) in a mushroom alfredo sauce. Mmmmm! Both dishes were amazing. The portions are generous, the amount of seafood in the Risotto was abundant and I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! We finished our meal with excellent conversation with Fortunato and his mother Maria. We would also like to thank you, Koch Luca for an amazing meal! If you do not visit this restaurant, you are missing!"

"My wife and I decided to try the Lightfoot restaurant for the first time on our 16th wedding anniversary. We found it in a google search for fine dining in Northern Virginia and then one of our co-workers vouched for the restaurant. At the restaurant, we had to park at one of the free public parking areas in the rain less than half a mile away, but we didn't have a problem with that since we had an umbrella. We were greeted by a manager (we presume he was a manager since he was seen everywhere in the restaurant after he sat us down). The manager was personable with us as he sat us down and before he walked away from our table. He even came back by to check on us 2 more times before we left. We were serviced by the bartender who provided respectful customer service. The restaurant even gave us complimentary champagne (2 glasses) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ordered appetizers (deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes with shrimp) and then our main entrees (Braised pork, shrimp and grits and organic buttermilk fried chicken). Then we shared a big ice cream sundae (they were out of the mint chocolate chip one, but we still enjoyed the regular ice cream sundae). The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars was because my wife unfortunately did not enjoy her appetizer (fried green tomatoes with shrimp or her braised pork, shrimp and grits entree). Other than that, the experience was great at the Lightfoot restaurant from the greeting, the ambiance, the food and customer service."
