"A decent place for a decent burger. I have an avocado bacon cheeseburger. It hit the spot. You have a range of burgers, pommes and Mexican food. What this place is really apart for me are the freshly cut pommes. They remind me of one-n-outries, except I like them better because they are thicker cut. Ausgefries are too thin for my preference. The staff is kind. They offered to delete our garbage for us, brought us spices and asked if we needed something else. Once we have set ourselves to dinner, we did not have to get up (except for drinks that serve themselves)."

"Everything was good I mean I wouldn't say anything was five star but four stars that right the eggs are cooked good I had this like cinnamon bun French toast which was too overwhelming it was enough for four people LOL but I'd recommend it we're going to go back again it was very crowded but it was Father's Day. Just went there again for Father's Day and the food and service was great. Our waiter Caesar was just great!"

"We had reservation and never got seated we waited 20min and decided to leave. Every 5 min the hostess would say they are cleaning our table. For 20min?!?! Then their front door is a hazard!! While we stood there for 20 min we witnessed 3 accidents with the waitresses being hit by the door coming in and out with food. Food dropped, dirty plates spilled all over the waitress by the third time we had really had enough with the experience and left!! Talk about stress everytime we watched them coming in and out! Such a LIABILITY!!"

"This is one of the best restaurants in Knoxville but our food on our last visit was not the best. I got the fish and chips and my husband got meatloaf. The fish was fresh and the beer batter on fish was tasty but it was greasy. I had the friend cat fish in past and it had always been excellent. So skip the fish and chips. My husband meatloaf was on hard side. It tasted more like grilled chop steak. If your used to more traditional meatloaf, then this may not be to your liking. The waitress we had was excellent. We ended the meal with a yummy blueberry cupcake!"

"You have the US RAW CHICKEN! Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience here. My hamburger came with blood that soaked the rolls and pommes (see my plate above in the picture). I was adult, but I tried to eat some bites, there's a $21 burger. I decided I was done when my daughter mentioned in the law that her chicken was raw. RAW!!! My 9-year-old son had also ordered the chicken and ended a whole chicken tender before we notice that his was raw, too. The manager then refunded the chicken and burger 50% of the rest of our meal. I feel honest as if she had refunded the whole meal, as we all lost our appetites. The manager said the cook was new. GREAT, glad he cooked my food. I think that is unacceptable. I'll never go back!"

"great restaurant with place to improve. design and ambiente are beautiful and the employees are very attentive, but they have made some cheap decisions to counter inflation. the prices here are not cheap, but also not expensive. for example, I had the chicken parm that was tasty, but they said it did not come with pasta; it was just a piece of chicken for $23. then I was told that I could not order a page of pasta, because you did not exist. my only option was to order one from the menu spaghetti pomodoro at a price of $20...for spaghetti with red sauce. seriously? so my escape was really $43 because they were too cheap to contain pasta or even a sweet with a chicken dish. for these reasons I would not return. the food was delicious, but this sense of cheapness left a bad taste in my mouth."

"Holy cow! I needed some food to make me feel better and had a craving either a sausage biscuit or biscuits with gravy. Gloria's came through with their Texas eggs benedict, a halved biscuit with sausage and poached egg on each half, covered in sausage gravy and a side of hashbrowns. It was so good! I took mine to go but there was plenty of room inside to eat without being too near other people. SO GOOD! Update: I ate here again and got pancakes and bacon the pancakes were amazing but don't pay extra for fruit topping, it wasn't much worth it. But the bacon! A side order is about 4 strips of thick, crispy bacon. It was a huge pile. I also got a cookie to go and it wasn't the best ever but it was pretty good."

"We used to be here and we enjoyed it again today, food is always delicious. Unfortunately, our service was very unattended today. After 10 minutes we were not welcome or recognized. I wanted to get someone and I had to wait again. I gave it 4 stars because this is a first on the service aspect and we plan to go back, I hope only that they remember that people pay not only for food, but for service. "Had an excellent dinner with my wife before going to the Clackamas Repertory Theatre for a play. We sat by the window so we could see the river. A little too hot to sit outside. I was going to order Halibut Fish and Chip. I asked the waiter if it was heavily battered and his exact comment, “yea it is”. I mentioned that I didn’t it want if it was heavily battered and he had no reaction. So both my wife and I ordered the Salmon and it was perfect. I think the waiter needs a little more training."

"Good afternoon Google! The family decided to eat dinner after running berries all day and all afternoon on Tuesday, November 1st. I decided to try this diner because my mother loves Tilapia and she won't order anything else, and if Tilapia isn't in the menu, she doesn't know what to order. I googled Stargate and checked the menu. You have Tilapia, HOORAY!!! So we went there. My brother was there too. Our server was Jen and Jen proved to be reliable and friendly and efficient. My mother ordered her Tilapia, bruised with apple sauce and potatoes, with Gravy on the side. My brother ordered the Maryland Crabcake with potato salad and apple sauce. I ordered the Broiled Combination Seafood Platter with filled mushrooms, filled shrimps, scallops and flounder with pea and carrots and broccoli as my two sides. In the seafood department you have a selection of fried, bruised or filled options. We started with our soup that was chicken with rice. Our soup was delicious and hot. All our entree were really delicious!!! My mother and I swallowed our whole dinner at the table and we didn't need a dog bag. My brother needed a dog bag for his crabcake. Our drinks were water with lemon and lemonade. I also ordered hot chocolate, no whipped cream. I try to limit calories, LOL!!! Jen also gave us some rolls with butter and the butter was wonderfully soft. So many places we protect, the butter is hard. After we paid for our meal and left a tip for Jen, I informed Jen that I was a personal trainer and I left my business card with her. You and another server told me I could leave my business cards near the entrance. We enjoyed our experience at Stargate Diner and we will definitely be back!!! We also went to a time when there weren't many people. We sat and served immediately. You have two large screen TVs you can watch while waiting for your meal. You are open 24 hours SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! The ambience was fantastic!!!"

"I was actually sitting at the bar for Valentines Day with my boyfriend for most of the evening. There was no host when we I got there. Not a plus, But the bartender greeted me so I made my way to there. The bartender was very attentive, even helped me with a little surprise for my boyfriend when he first showed up. Food that he suggested for the night was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend said it was the best burger he's had in a while. Thank you Chris for making it special for us. No one there, as far I saw, waited for their drinks like the over-exaggerated last review suggests. Nor did any plates sit there for 30 minutes. We will both be back this summer."

"I've been here since I was in junior high and even if I'm not in La Crescenta, my family and I'm back every other weekend for Saturday brunch. We sometimes even come to dinner on Sunday evenings! They serve delicious dishes, consistently and with a lot of love, and they feel like a part of the family, especially with the beautiful staff they have on board. And finally, I can confidently say that even with LA's brunch scene near with new hip restaurants, which seems like a monthly basis, Black Cow will always be my favorite spot to eat good food, with family / friends, people / dog watch, and let time pass by as I enjoy."
