"Zama is one of the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The two things that I like the most was their amazing location with the view of the city and residential area of west village. the outer sitting area is small but really beautiful with dim lights and music. Another thing that my husband and I loved about the idea of making Guacamole in front with our choice of ingredients in it. It’s not only gives you fresh guacamole but also watching that process is also really exciting. The dishes that we had were all tasty and I must appreciate the server who was very friendly and nice to us. Thank you. Will visit again surely."

"By far our favorite restaurant in the area. Hector and his family are welcoming and friendly, and serve great food. We go for lunch at least once a week. Tonight we had New Years Eve Dinner Margaritas, great shrimps and flan for dessert (an excellent dessert). If you didn't try Los Magueyes, you really need to."

My order was brought out without the shrimp it was supposed to have. When I told them they brought the shrimp out separate. Then charged me for 2 orders. Bad business. Cartel."

"Posting this for any management that might see it. I ordered one fajita Texana at 9:00 on Saturday, November 27. It is actually the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Veggies were undercooked. Meat was grey and unseasoned. The whole dish was just sad and I could tell the person who made it just didn’t care at all. I work in the industry and there’s absolutely no excuse to serve someone food like that. I’ve had gastrointestinal distress all day as a result as well which makes me question how clean the prep area was or how fresh the meat was. I’m not even mad, I’m just sad that someone can sleep at night knowing they cooked and served that to a customer. I just moved to the area from Bedford which has a great Mi Patron location and was excited to try this one. Safe to say I will not be returning and I advise anyone else to steer well clear. What a disappointment."

She personally was going to each table and making sure that everyone is getting better service. We definitely would visit this place often. "I’ve driven by this place a handful of times but I’ve always been hesitant since it’s connected to a gas station. I ordered online the other day, not realizing which restaurant it was, and I am SO GLAD I did! I had the authentic Mexican tacos a quesadilla, and it was the best Mexican food I have had in my 7 years in Knoxville. There’s also a drive-thru for convenient pick-up. We will definitely be back! Country Burrito is our new go-to spot!"

"Went for a late dinner on Saturday night and sat at the bar, let me start out by saying I went reluctantly as going out for Mexican fare is at the bottom of my list. Well, I am now a huge fan of this establishment and will put it on the regular rotation. Melita, our bartender was top notch talent, she had great suggestions for both food and drinks and her service was outstanding. We shared the Mexican corn and steak Tacos Al Pastor with a mixture on corn and flour tortillas, I had the watermelon margarita with the spicy chili salt (thank you Melita). I will return and have the exact same thing but maybe try the pork next time. Everything tasted fantastic. We did not finish the corn so we took it home and enjoyed it with grilled burgers the next night, so delicious!"
