"When I first heard about chickens and waffles in the late 80s/early 90s, I thought where could we get one of them? Now I went to L.A. from Orange County and my friend and I was prestige to be a “fly girl” dancer for the comedy show “In Living Color”, we didn’t quite manage it, but we did many cuts, the girls named “JLo” and “Carrie” have made it. We were not ready to go back to OC and thought, hey, let us check Roscoe’s. Oh, man, these waffles were and are still good, and the fried chicken was crispy and that's all I command from this infamous joint. We saw a few people from other popular 90s shows, so my girl and I had fun chatting with them while waiting in the long line. Next stop were the auditions of the Soul Train.... Remember that I have to go back and get my repair of chickens and waffles."
