"When I first heard about chickens and waffles in the late 80s/early 90s, I thought where could we get one of them? Now I went to L.A. from Orange County and my friend and I was prestige to be a “fly girl” dancer for the comedy show “In Living Color”, we didn’t quite manage it, but we did many cuts, the girls named “JLo” and “Carrie” have made it. We were not ready to go back to OC and thought, hey, let us check Roscoe’s. Oh, man, these waffles were and are still good, and the fried chicken was crispy and that's all I command from this infamous joint. ICk. doesn't even deserve a star. I have food poisoning from low-grade chicken meat. The place got a “B” rating, but I would still recommend going ppl there just to experience chicken, waffles, maple syrup. Believe me, you won't return and you could better pour syrup over KFC on an egg.

I'm a little surprised at the last rating. Do not let a bad experience ruin this historic gem! this place is TINY so sure that it will come early and wait to get a table – it is worth it. do not expect to sit quickly on sunny days, although... Everyone comes here to the church and the line is usually over a block long. the chicken is friend of perfection... not too fat and not to seduce... It was really good. The waffles are huge. Seriously, I think a meal can serve two. if you are ready to be filled, come here – you will not regret it.
