"I've been sitting here for my birthday dinner after I've been living next to this restaurant for over a year. In the summer they play obnoxily loud music, which is why I was first switched off, but I decided to give him a chance because it is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Boise. On the "vegetarian" menu, her rice is actually made with chicken broth. We sat in the indoor and outdoor terrace in the area of traffic so that everyone hit by my partner on the back. We ordered the table side guacamole that came on a plastic car with Stale chips that knows how long they sit on the second shelf. The way was so narrow that he had to go aside constantly, as the other employees prepared tables with plates above the top of the guacamole. I guess if you use food in enough bovine lactate, people get the casomorphins out and think it's great. By default, everything is cooked in butter, so we had to ask for oil. The waitress was ambivalent when I told her that the food was too spicy, and she asked me what the word was stale when I complained about the chips that came with the $16 guacamole. They had no salsa or a topping that contained no cream. I would expect a $92 dinner that was almost untouched after two separate people for our review and sink to take home boxes that someone would have realized that it was a problem. The Portobello Fajitas had so much jalapeno they were boundlessly unpredictable. If 0 was an option to rate this place, I would, or just take if this app was overall."

"We came back after a few years since our last two visits, of which we enjoyed. This time, however, was exceptionally better. I only remember enjoying the food last two times, but this visit the entire experience was memorable. Drinks were perfectly balanced and presented. I liked that the bar service runner came back after we had a few sips to ask how the drinks were—nice touch. Our server was a very nice and sincere about the menu. We were there with another couple, celebrating their birthdays, and we tried from all parts of the menu; starters, platillos tradicionales, a la leña, tacos, meriendas and dessert. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant for anyone in the mood for a great Mexican restaurant."

"I really do like finding random places I normally wouldn't go to, cause you never know...it might be amazing. However, this wasn't one I'd probably come to again. We were in the area and it had good reviews so we gave it a try. The inside is more inviting than the outside. Very large menu, prices are a bit high...considering in the areas they are lacking. Refried beans were extremely watery, salsa was very spicy, kiddo's fries were very undercooked, no extras with fajitas (meaning it didn't come with guac, sour cream, shredded cheese, etc), the beans to hold the taco salad were cold. The taco salad was tasty but also a bit bland (didn't care for the tons of carrot shreds in it) and would have given it more flavor if chicken was seasoned better or maybe if it had some black beans in it. Had to ask for refills for our water. No wow factors here and wasn't really impressed."

"The sushi was actually decent. However there were a group of drunks being very obnoxious. The staff continued to serve them sake bombs and alcohol. Service was slow but friendly. We will not be back."

"Thank you for having such an amazing staff!! Everyone there works together to provide exceptional service. All the bartenders, hosts, servers, runners, and bussers are phenominal. My family celebrates many birthday's there because the waiters make that person feel so special. It's a blast! Thank you for caring about the customers. Managment is doing great as well. I love going in there. I will continue to keep coming back and spreading the word. Love the food! I always get a grilled shrimp taco and fideo soup. I am glad that a mexican food restaurant in town actually has fideo soup. Many don't. Also, the flan dessert is to die for. Keep up the great work! I will see you again soon!"

"Appropriate prices, service with a warm smile and low-key vibe! Perfect neighborhood spot for when you want to eat comfort. El Gordo 's Rotisserie Chicken, right from the grill, tick all boxes. Ceviche mixto (I usually odrer picante version) is really delicious and fresh. Peruvian desserts (flam, fruit jelly etc.) with a cup of steaming hot coffee is certainly a game made in the sky. Oh, God!"

"An all-around nice spot in Beverly Hills to grab some good Mexican food and drinks. The atmosphere is open with a welcoming yet refined ambiance. The service was super friendly and attentive too. The food is on the pricier side, but pretty tasty and a good stop between shopping in the area. They have daily lunch specials from 11 to 4 pm and AYCE Sunday Brunch for about $50 with a Bottomless Mimosa add-on for another $25. Very tempting, but I'd probably get kicked out of the stores after being blitz. Anyways, I came here for lunch and tried their Maracuya and Watermelon Mojito for drinks. The Maracuya was an all around good cocktail with the smoky mezcal. I asked for it a little spicy and they added some jalapeños for me. The Watermelon Mojito was like summer. Very juicy, sweet, and bright! For food, they are known for their guacamole so definitely went with that. It came with a citrusy green salsa and a smokey hot red. Pretty good and great for sharing. Really fresh guac that is light and airy being a good mix between chunky and smooth. I also got their Mole Poblano. Super delish and highly recommended! The mole was sweet and deep with smoky notes. It was served over some shredded chicken that was cooked percectly! It came with some rice, plantains, and tortillas to build a taco. Really good mix of carbs! I enjoyed every bite and would get it again. All in all, I enjoyed this place! Aside it being a bit pricy, it had good service, food, and ambiance!"

"Need work with cultural differences especially being in an English speaking country. But, its also a great Mexican American restaurant, so what do you expect. Minor improvements needed such as a new POS system and better communication with Delivery Companies like Postmates. One downside though us the chips I had were stale. "first it doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as they go into the facility is nicely put together very well o they also have a Sunday brunch with mariachi. as far as the personal is very friendly and attentive to the customer. "My go to place for Mexican Seafood. Had family in town, so had to bring them to El Bucanero. Came early Saturday evening before the big dinner rush, so was able to get seated right away. Even when it's crowded, the line moves pretty quickly. They do a great job of getting people seated, served, and cleaned up for the next party. We had a party of 6, but they handle larger parties all the time. We were seated right away. Waiter immediately came to take the drink and appetizer orders. That came out within minutes and placed the main orders next. Most menu items are very large portions and probably best ordered family style. I've been here many times and try to order different items each time. This time was the Molcajete el Bucanero, Botana Mixta, Coco Loco, and Ceviche Hawaiano Tropical. The drink was the Michelada Bucanera. While waiting for your food, you can eat the tostada chips with the 3 different salsas on the table. They're very addicting and you'll quickly get full just eating the chips. The food is amazing every time. I've never ordered anything I didn't like. Seafood is extremely fresh every time and always presented nicely. Service is very fast and they're constantly checking on you throughout the meal. Highly recommend El Bucanero.for good seafood and good service."

"A friend and I really enjoyed our end of Summer dinner at Sequoia. I hadn't eaten there in MANY years. I can't imagine why I haven't been back recently. It's a wonderful restaurant with excellent, attentive service and fine food. We took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu (which is a great deal). The ceviche was lovely fresh and bracingly tart and a bit spicy. The wine list is short but has something for most tastes and wallets. The view of course is exquisite. I'll be back soon!"
