"we had a great experience at dinner last night. the brussel sprouts and burrata cheese appetizers were very tasteful and delicious. we share the gigantic tomahawk steak for dinner and wow, it was excellent! perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. we have eaten many steaks throughout the country and that was definitiw top 5. we ended up with the toffee pudding, which is actually more like a cake, and yum!"

"I have been coming to Prato for a few years now. I currently live in South Florida now, but make it a point to go to Prato when I get the opportunity. I do have to say the past 3 times I have been the food has been incredibly salty. This past time we had to send back the calamari because it was fishy and too salty. It was removed from the bill. The caesar salad was way to lemony and again salty. The mustard spaghetti, which is my favorite was well done this time, but the past 2 times I have been was almost to salty to eat. The drinks and ambience as well as service is always fantastic. Although I have been disappointed the past 3 time of coming there are still the drinks and great service that keeps on wanting me to give it another try."

"This definitely is a niche restaurant in Calgary and a relief from all the steak places, which offer Veggies fake meat substitutes full of fake fat, blood and gristle and only suitable for carnivores on a health kick, these days... The days of the textured bean burger are numbered and these gruesome replacements are going to be the only thing on their menus in future... . Anyway away from that rant... Minimalist and chic with excellent, attentive helpful staff who were not in your face all the time. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and were accommodated without fuss... I had the pear and gorgonzola Ravioli, which was delicate in flavour and rich and filling in content. personally I would have upped the gorgonzola content but I'm weird that way.... Mrs B had the squash pasta which gave her inspiration for future home cooking.. Dessert selection was superlative, though i stupidly went for the Tiramisu which came in a plastic cup with a lid makingit look store bought and wasn't as exciting as the real bakery stuff they had in the display fridge. I was too lazy to go and look so that's my own fault.... Wine was good value. I just had the house white and it was pleasant, dry and a nice quaff. Didn't taste like the cheapest hock they could find and was up my street for a casual drinking wine. Only concern was that we had a starter but were only part way through when the main course arrived.. at least though they didn't whip the starter away, which I have had done elsewhere! Prices are a wee bit on the high side, but again in this time of inflation they probably need it to survive. I would recommend it as a change from the boring old chains which unfortunately remain ubiquitous throughout Canada More power to their independent elbow!"

"We enjoyed our overall dining experience at Mane Rye on NYE. Upon arrival the hostess was no where to be found so it took about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and confirm our reservation but after that service was wonderful. My husband was not a fan of the specific NYE 3 course menu due to the sauce mixed with the lobster and the oysters but he did mention the filet was cooked to perfection. I had the bourbon brined pork chop with Brussels sprouts and it was Amazing!!! Would definitely return. Ambiance was nice although I was a bit confused about the oversized pin ball machines in such a nice restaurant. A bit distracting when trying to have a conversation or romantic dinner."

"We were very excited to have dinner here after seeing the ratings. However it took our servers 20 minutes to grab us water and glasses and another 30 minutes to order our food. We were one of 10 tables so we were confused as to where all of the service staff was. Once we got our food, one of the back waits took multiple plates away that we were still finishing, including trying to take the one that my partner was still eating off of. The food was ok, honestly in Williamsburg there’s much better especially for the price and service."

"Popped into the Pigeonhole for breakfast this morning, not expecting much given it was on 17th Avenue SW, but left impressed, satisfied and looking forward to heading back. I opted for Victoria's full breakfast $20 Homemade onsite sausage patty GF, Bacon, Homemade onsite...bread (toast), two eggs and homemade onsite hasbrowns and some greens....excellent taste and smells.......hot and looked very appetising. Really good value and i have to say, BEST BREAKFAST EVER!! Oh and they do GF bread that actually tastes like bread!! Pancakes were GF and soft and fluffy........coffee was strong and absolutely devine. Halfprice mimosas as well!!! Overall, great location, the restaurant is open plan, bright and opens onto 17th Ave SW. Staff are helpful and generally friendly and responsive. Our main man was Tom, magic guy, helpful, friendly and generally a really nice bloke. Ask for Tom, if you decide to visit, he will take really good care of you and will offer up some magic culinary suggestions. Oh and before i forget, for the locals that live in and around Calgary, The Pigeonhole has a breakfast club pay for 5 entrees and get the 6th free. Well worth a visit!!"

"what a disappointment. I had kept for my wife and I made for our New Year's dinner. we haven't been on the new year since covid. the restaurant was so loud that we couldn't hear each other. we both ordered the drink. it was so bad that we fought to get it down, they didn't have a $14. my oysters were ok and the salate of my wife was very good. then they came out. I have the nap eye. it was so full of fat and gristle that I left half on my teller. the salmon of my wife was so when they go into a beautiful restaurant and pay $ 195,00 for two people they expect excellent eating. we will not go back and we will not recommend it."

"Bookings for a group of 6. We sat right away when they were properly prepared for us. Our people started slowly and we had a good time and had a good tendency. We served all our delicious meals and the carving was fantastic. All others also seemed to enjoy their meals. The ambience is great in the restaurant. They do not feel like in Bavaria or so, but it is very beautiful and picturesque. Will definitely return for brunch and also want to try dinner at a certain point."

"On my first visit, I was drawn in by their happy hour margarita. I often feel a bit lost when trying to identify menu items, but this time was different. I ordered the grilled duck, which was quite unique but delicious, and the scallop ceviche, which was excellent. Their house margarita was fantastic as well. For dessert, I sampled the sweet maizes with dulce de leche and corn peel cream. While it didn’t quite taste like sweet corn, it was still absolutely delightful. The restaurant offers a range of gourmet small plates, encouraging diners to savor every bite, though I did find the portions a bit pricey. Overall, the ambiance and service were beautiful."

"beautiful place and view. very limited menu. not much bang for the buck on eating. the stuff salad w/chicken (dry chicken and not a very generous salat $20) or brussel sprouts (definitly a no go on ordering again.) the pommes were a great tasting. drinks on the expensive side. if they don't mind spending money for a social time with their friends, that would be in order. if they want a good food or a fast service, I would go somewhere else. a 3-star rating presses it. except it's a beautiful place."

"Charlotte has some mediocre food options for high prices. This place is a nice location and building. It has really well made food. It is pricey but it’s a rare occasion it’s worth the pricing. Wouldn’t recommend for a budget date or something. More like a somewhat upper end night out. I’m docking a star just bc it was hot as hades in there. The staff and ourselves were cooking like a Turkey inside the building. No AC is a problem for a business in 1975. Aside from that the food is great. The staff were great and ready to work. Their drinks a very well made. You can see what’s happening in the kitchen. It’s clean and has openings at the front which is nice."

"If you like a good charcuterie board then this is a must visit restaurant! Great fresh farm to table offerings prepared in a unique way. The only thing on the board that I didn't particularly like was the smoked grapes. They were smoked way too long and to the point that all you tasted was smoke. Matthew our waiter was outstanding and delivered the type of service we should all want when dining out. He was around at the right times and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend as a unique place to seek out while in Cincinnati."
