"Overall we had a good experience at Sierra Mar. The dishes were well executed and flavorful and they are quite accommodating to dietary restrictions. The view is the selling point…perched atop the hills, the ocean, cliffs and the sunset really make for quite the atmosphere and ambience. A couple of things were disappointing however…As our server was seating another table, they wished them “happy anniversary” a couple times and chatted them up while never offering the same greeting to us even though it was clear that we were celebrating the occasion in our reservation details. We are a same sex couple while the other table was not. Also, our server offered additional bread to a table behind to us but never extended the offer to us. The difference in service was noticeable and dampened our experience despite the quality of food and ambience."
