"I went to this restaurant by myself on a recent visit to Toronto. I had an early seating so it was rather quiet, which suited me. The dinner meal was a degustation course, showcasing local ingredients. I was told that almost everything was locally sourced....Without question, the meal was really interesting. The way it was put together and the presentation of the food was great. I was surprise, however, that the meal leaned towards an Asian flavour pallate. Most of the dishes had a taste or a hint of chilli. Majority of the dishes worked for me, but there were some that (for me) either was missing something or slightly missed the mark. For example, the duck dish there was a lot of it and it was quite chewy OK in a smaller portion, but it became a bit of a struggle after awhile. Another was the duck pate the pasty was a little too sweet for my taste. The dishes that stood out for me was the shrimp and the lobster dishes they were amazing. As was the blueberry and buttermilk dessert. I also recommend the Bourbon Maple cocktail it was delightful! Overall, a good experience. It was clever, interesting and well executed meal."
