"We had ordered from Empire plenty of times before. No major mess ups and the food was decent. Last order the girl taking the order was rude, messed up the order, had to call back to confirm card info because she had that wrong too. After the food was delivered I called back to explain the mistake. I was questioned by two woman including the one that took my order originally. At the end of the call they confirmed they would send the driver back with the right ordered item they never delivered it MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!"

"Let me start by saying, my fiance and I are not from around here. We just wanted to get some good pizza and curly fries to eat on the beach. When you think beach, you think good quality pizza! We ordered it at 6:00pm over the phone and I told the woman we’d be there by 6:30 for pick up. We came to pick it up at around 6:40 and the pizza and fries were cold and looked like they’d been sitting for a long time. Like, at least keep it warm for your customers. With this, the place was cold and smelled weird and the pizza on display looked like it had gone bad. Not only were the fries soggy and greasy, but the pizza was hard and had a disgusting grainy crust that was super messy. And the charged $0.75 for ranch for the fries! The only good part was the woman who took care of me was very nice in person and over the phone."

"Go for a simple but guaranteed delicious pasta option I stopped to pick up some of our favorite dishes on Saturday night that it would probably be crazy. Since there was luck, there were some problems and they were streaming their limited staff into just pizza and salads. The staff was apologetic, but, even if busy and limited, were professional and friendly. The best part was pivotable to try a pizza we never had and find a new favorite. Your spicy fennel sausage pizza will be a regular choice for us now. We were impressed by their difficult decision to narrow their menu, but better to compromise the number of decisions than the quality of food. We'll be back soon."

"I love their minestrone soup. Truly. But each of the last three times i have come to this location, it has been a frustrating and incomplete experience. Each time I have either left empty handed or had to wait hours to get what I had ordered. Just stay away from this location. They are nice but after three tries on simple orders, come on! Today I ordered through DoorDash. I specified a time, placed the order and got two confirmations from DoorDash. I also got charged. When I arrived there was only one person on duty. The others, including the manager, were either delivering or offsite. The young man said they had no order for me. I showed him the confirmation and he said they have a lot of problems with DoorDash and GrubHub. To the point that no orders make it from those platforms to their store. YET THEY STILL USE THEM. The store is listed on both sites. So I was told I needed to fix the issue and call DoorDash. Ok I get that but knowing your link to these websites doesn 't work AND YOU CONTINUE TO USE THEM is maddening. So their failure to work out the issues with these websites is my problem. Talk about passing the buck. They should remove their location from those sites. am no longer going to try and support this neighborhood shop. Ill get the soup froma location three miles away instead."

"I am a pizza lover but I didn't enjoy this pizza. I built my own with cup and char peperoni and roasted peppers. I hardly had any roasted peppers on my pizza $3.50 extra) and the peperoni weren't good. I've been to Italy and I have enjoyed plenty of pizza but I'm not sure how a 2 topping pizza was bland and some of my crust was burnt. I spent $27 on a pizza but I'd rather eat Little Caesars or Hungry Howies. This pizza was very underwhelming. I only tried it because I have caught a few of the ads on Instagram. I may try another regular peperoni pizza to see if maybe I caught them on an off day. I really wanted to love the pizza because I live close to this location. The staff were blah, lacked enthusiasm kind of like they were ready to go home."

"Don't miss this a bit out of the way pizza place. The menu is amazing and everything I've tried makes your mouthwater when you think about it. As far as the pizza goes, the crust sauce is great, but the freshness and taste of the toppings make the pizza among the best in the state. Not in the mood for pizza, then close your eyes and show something on the menu, you will not be disappointed."

"They lured us into their restaurant with a mail coupon. We ordered the 16 by 16 Is Brooklyn square pizza. It was phenomenal. We thought we would give the restaurant a chance with the rest of their menu. The calamari was not good, the tortellini was more than aldente and the soup was just chicken broth basically, the salad was pretty gross, the shrimp scampi was not good nor the chicken parmesan. I do not like red sauce or marinara sauce and this place has not changed my mind about it. The desserts are hard and cold. The pictures of the food are prettier than the taste of the food. We will go back for the pizza. The restaurant is nice and clean though."

"The inside is very classy, simple, not bad. The service was what you should expect at every pizzeria, top notch. And the food was great too. Though the pizza had cheddar, which made it taste a bit funky, it was pretty good. The same can be said for the calzone. Overall, I recommend. Edit: you can remove the cheddar. Good to know"

"We were referred to try this restaurant by a server in an adjacent restaurant the day before. My husband was eager to try the restaurant after a long day of military drilling with early morning starts. We drove through Friday evening traffic from anearby surburb passing many other restaurant options including those there in the StoneHill shopping complex. Although ourserver was kind and apologetic, they seemed very inexperienced in having the ability to take initiative and communicate withtheir staff. After we ordered our pasta that would be a single dish without accompanying sides, we asked if bread is availablewhile placing the order. We were advised that after 5pm is their busiest time, so they were out of bread at the time that theyare aware will be the busiest for them daily. We were also told they were short staffed with only one cook who is able to makebread although others with aprons were in the kitchen area that can 't assist. Keep in mind that this is a restaurant that makespizza, which is bread with toppings that customers were ordering and receiving. We asked if we can get the bread with the mealwhen it 's available since we have to wait for the meal to be served. The server said they would try to serve it with the meal.4 individuals who arrived at the same time as us received their full meal of various meal varieties while we continued to waiton our lasagna 30 minutes later as we did not order other appetizers and there were no complimentary substitutes. The serversaid they would check on the bread 's cooking time status, but could never provide any time estimate to us making us questionwhether they were asking the cook at all. 2 individuals next to us arrived at the same time as us ordered bread received itrather quickly within 10 min with their full meal being delivered within 30 min that included pasta. "Imagine an Italian restaurant from the pizza! Fortunately, we didn't want pizza, so we stayed. The food took FOREVER. (Lack of staff in the kitchen) When it did, though it was fantastic! The mgr was apologetic and decreased 20%. I'd go back."
