"EDIT (as of 6/29/23) This place still sucks. The manager is not helpful, and the terrible workers were hired right off the street. How is this place still running ? Overpriced and terrible food as well.Cant believe my pics from years ago gathered 24,638 views for them when they didn’t have a clear menu up at the time (I had the newest phone and best photo out of all the menu) yet the manager never ever apologized to me or corrected their workers mistakes. 2 strikes and they are out in my book. Cant believe I gave them another try.—————Food price 1/5, customer service -5/5I took my friends here Sunday 1/26/2020 around 4pm so we can try this place together after good remarks from other friends who have visited the Highline location in Manhattan. There was only 1 order ahead of us and we were next to order so I went to the bathroom, came back 10mins later and the server still didn’t take our orders and 2 workers were working together to make 1 salad. Finally we collectively ordered:1. Salmon Beets Add Burrata-Meh Very Sour2. Impossi-Bowl-Good No complaints3. Portobello Road Add Soft Boiled Egg-Salty and server forgot to say that there was no egg but charged us $34. The Tahini Gem-MehA PDA middle aged couple ordered after us (this is important later). While our order was being made the pregnant Caucasian looking server said, “oh sorry, my coworker here *points to the male with facial hair* forgot that we had no more eggs and offered a replacement chicken but we didn’t want that. So whoops goes our $3 and the male went to the back to disappear again. Then the dark skinned worker called out to “Theresa” which is my name and we said, “yes?” And the dark skinned worker proceeded to rudely say, “NO not you, them, this is not your order, it’s their’s” and pointed to the couple who nodded and was clearly probably not paying attention bc they were in each other’s face. So we thought, “okay, MAYBE so happen that she has the same name and the workers are making their order first even though they ordered after”. Then the pregnant Caucasian noticed that that was indeed OUR order and told that Dark skinned worker that she was wrong. No sorrys, no apologies, nothing. I understand if maybe if was a bad day or if you are new, but please apologize if you are wrong or at least LISTEN to what we were trying to tell you. That HEY, that’s OUR order and we ordered first."
