"The hotel paid attention to detail, from the beautiful furniture and artwork in the rooms to the sensor foot light by the bed and the lingering room spray. The air conditioning was at a comfortable temperature, and a light had been turned on in our room for our arrival. The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with luxurious touches such as a refreshing shower and scented shower soaps. The water temperature was very hot. Although we did not visit the restaurant or bar during our stay, we would consider doing so if we were back for other reasons. One downside to our stay was that noise from the lodger above us could be heard clearly, keeping us up until 2 am as they moved around. I would recommend requesting a room on the top floor to avoid this issue. Additionally, there was occasional noise from passing trains as the hotel was located next to the tracks, but this did not bother us. Contrary to what was mentioned in our maps search, the hotel did not offer free breakfast, and everything was considered an additional charge. We decided to drive to Greenville for breakfast, where we found a variety of restaurants and a charming donut shop called Bismarck. Overall, this hotel is a wonderful choice for a special occasion, though it is quite expensive. Despite the noise issue, we would consider staying here again, but would definitely request a room on the top floor."

"Provenance was a revelation to me. Mostly because I had never been there. Last Thursday, I went after an early afternoon appointment, arriving at about 3:15 p.m., just in time for the start of their Happy Hour. While I waited for a friend to arrive, I ordered the spot-on pork potstickers, and the pesto, bacon and feta cheese French fries. The potstickers should not be missed for as long as they have them, if you like crispy, succulent, and perfectly non-greasy ones. (I do! My one only criticism about the fries was they struck me as ascetically dry, perhaps the chef abhors greasy food? This is not a problem, by any means, in my book. However, I also missed a pinch of salt, but the longer I kept eating the fries, the less I missed the salt b/c the pesto, bacon and feta were right there to help me w/ my gustatory needs. I also tried a fabulous butter lettuce salad w/ a raspberry vinaigrette, crispy, blanched, sliced almonds, matchsticks of green apple (plenty! , and surely other ingredients I can 't remember. But who cares, when all of the prior ingredients were there and exquisitely good. As for drinks, well...Grant (aka Jesus w/ a 'Hay ' , is clearly capable of preparing almost anything your heart brain desires, but why bother when they have mixed drink specials to try which are perfectly conjured up magically recreated before your very eyes, if you are wise enough to sit at the bar. I had something wonderfully refreshing and summery involving huckleberries, a flavored vodka, mint, and a pipette of crème de cassis liqueur. It was delicious AND fun to drink. Go to Provenance!"

"My boyfriend and I love this place. We both had been here many times before and were so pleased to see it opened back up after a long few years of being closed. We thought the pandemic took another great restaurant. To our surprise they’re back! So, last Saturday we decided to go there for dinner for the first time in years and it was still as good as we remembered! Everything was fantastic. I got the scallops and he got the filet and oysters of course because I haven’t stopped hearing about them from him since the beginning of time! Well. My boyfriend ended up leaving his wallet on the table when we left because we both got so distracted reading the book our check was delivered in with all the customers signatures from over the years. We didn’t realize it until the next afternoon that he was missing it. Unsure of where we even left it, we traced our steps and realized that had to be where it was and we called the next day they had it. Everything in it. If I could give 10 stars I would, just for that! That could have been a really stressful situation on a holiday weekend. Thank you to our server for keeping it safe! I am sorry we can’t remember your name! But, I hope you get the recognition you deserve!
